I don't know but I have seen it spelled that way before.
Maybe we kept mispelling it but that is the true spelling. The game was developped in Canada, and Canadians use the English from England and that's how the word is supposed to be spelt.

Regardless, I still spell it without the 'K' seeing as it doesn't look right with one even if that's how it's spelt.
