I figured we could just make another thread to go into more detail about our favorite aircraft, and why its our favorite.

My favorite is the A-10 Thunderbolt 2. It is my favorite because, it is a sub-sonic plane, which makes it different, as well as it's 30 millimeter machine gun on the nose. Chews up every thing, and it's carrying capacity is quite large.

In real life, if you ever had an A-10 fly over your head, you'll never forget it. You can barley hear it until it's right on top of you, and suddenly, you're death.

I also like the C-130 specter, or spooky. which is flying artillery. A hurcules with a, I believe, a 8Omm cannon and like 4, 30mm machine guns. (I'm not sure if thats right, Xeno probliy knows)

If you are not sure what it is, in the transformers movie, it's the plane that ripped apart scorpinoc in the dessert

AC-130 Spectre/Spooky Gunship

It's armed with one 105mm Howitzers and 1 25mm Gatling Gun and also a 40mm Cannon

and about the Decepticon scorponoc well i haven't watched the movie yet..but he's the mechanical Scorpion right ?

He..He I love Su-37 too ,however too bad Russian Airforce abandoned it...from 2 prototypes..one crashed and another one converted to Su-35

Yeah he is the scorpion.

The spooky used to just have the howitzer sticking out the cargo door when they used it, now it has it's own pod on the side.

I don't remeber where I read this but, I remember reading that in a wargame, with I think 5, F-16's against 1 spooky.
The Spooky was the target and the 16"s were supposed to shoot it down. (virtually of course) As soon as the game began, all the 16's recieved a message, 1 after another, that they had been shot down, because the spooky had a lock with it's cannons and would have shot them down, and the AC-130 wasn't even in the 16's sight.

not game, real life, like I said, I don't remember where, it was some airplane magazine. (not like fat guy at home made it up)

I don't think it was "out of sight" per-say, but really far away.

Are you sure? It's the plane which is just like the SU47 except the thrusters are different, and have vectoring capabilities I think. It also features the forward swept wings.

I love how it can stan on end with VECOTORED THRUST!!! (thought that would sound cool) I know its hard to tell, but around 2 minutes i belive, it does it right above the camera.

and back on topic, if you are reffering to a video game, then yes no skill, in real life, screw that I'll hang back.

but I doubt we will ever see a su, vs a F-whatever, in real life, if we did, usa would most likely win as russia doesn't have enough moeny to mass produce like we do.

those manuvers you are refering to, xeno knows their exact names, but the nose up hover is a cobra manuver, the Fa-22 can acomplish this as well, the backflip thing. I think xeno said that was the chakra, or somthing

it's a 30mm depleted uranium machine gun, which fires at a rate of 50 rounds per second, for the 1st second, then increases to 70 per second after that.

The A-10 is finally being equipped with avionics. and is scheduled for decomission in, I believe 2018

and I supose that giant box on its back somehow doesn't ruin airflow, or decrease speed or manuverbility?

Ive heard a little about plasma stealth.

how exactly does it work?
how is it attached to the craft?

is it plasma as in the 4th element plasma?

does it conciel its signature better than that of geometric stealth?

that plane wouldn't be used much though, an average, subsonic, vtol, would be out classed so much. Id be about as useful as the A-10, but less manuverable.

a nice looking plane though.

This thread was geared more towards favorite in real life.

In terms of your question, just play and buy. although the C-44 Nosferato is unlocked by beating hard.

The harrier would be nice to have though
