However, Arsenal came out after the break and turned it up. Vucinic played van Persie through, who stepped up his pace to escape the defence, then let fly with a curling shot from the edge of the area which bounced in of the inside of the post. The match from here on in was end to end, however, neither team were able to take any of their chances, with Hildebrand playing superbly in the Arsenal goal, and Arsenals strikers having difficulty finding the target. ------------------- | |

Arsenal stayed on the attack and in the 44th minute, Oscar Cardozo was brought down inside the area. The confident striker stepped up for the penalty and blasted it into the roof of the net. Despite the second half being a mirror image of the first, the first chance of the half fell to Villareals Luka Modric. He cut inside the defneder and only a great save from Fabianski was able to keep Arsenal in front. However, Arsenal broke on the counter from the resulting corner, and Ashley young ran the length of the pitch, skipping inside and out of defenders, to square to Cardozo who tucked away his second of the game. Arsenal didnt settle after taking a two goal lead, and Duff sprung the offside trap and stuck the ball past Fabianski with his right foot to give Villareal hope in the match. In the final minute of the game, Oddo got into the opposition penalty area, and had a glorious chance to qualize, but his header was straigh at the keeper, so 2-1 it finished. ------------------- | |

Alirhgt. I'm not too sure on my formation, so I'll use: Neuer Raul Albiol - Garay - A. Friedrich - Emanuelson Lingren Hamit Altintop - Reo Coker - Schweinsteiger Gervinho - Aguero I'm not sure on this. Could you please give an in-depth match analysis and tell me where I'm going wrong. Oh, and btw, Flat back 4, Lingren as dmf, Altintop & Schweinsteiger as wingers, Reo Coker in CMF and Benzema and Aguero will play as CF's.
