At 186cm and a Body Balance of 83 as default, Gignac is a threat in the air and a formidable force on the ground. With the ability to do anything well (including crosses and Free Kicks) he is a must-have on any 'developing players' enthusiast's team.

Gignac really is one of the most well-rounded players in the game and can play in a Ronney/Totti position flawlessly.

Mwuah! Gignac; what a legend.

His stats may not be appetising in the beginning, but give him few seasons and he's off the hook! He would have to be one of the best rounded players I've seen at his peak. He greats like low 90s for body balance and high 80s/low 90s in speed which TBH makes an attacker invincible to me.

My first encounter with this young guy, was when I was reading on one of the "Hidden Gems" threads and someone said that this guy is the new Park Chu Young. I went to my Sony, checked his stats and laughed; how a player with those stats could be compared with Park Chu Young. But 3 or 4 seasons later, I checked his stats and my mouth literally dropped.

This guy is what they say "Don't judge a book by its cover".

I bought Gignac in my Marseille ML as cover at SS for Nasri. id alwasy thot that Nasri was adequate in the position, and had done always what was needed of him.
But then i played Gignac in a cup match

On his debut he scored one and assisted one and showed me what a proper SS should do. Time and time again he outshone Nasri, and now, hes my starting player. The thing is, theyre stats arent really that different. Gignac just performs at a different level.

Nasri doesn't develop much does he?

This guys development curve reminds me of Jeremy Mathieu's in PES6; the Tolouse effect hey?

I love to make him score so i can sit back and revel in its amazingness


And Nasri develops a decent amount. Peaks at 83, has 3 stars, him and Gignac are both at around 82 at this point in development, but Gignac just shits all over him

Can't say I've ever used this guy in my ml, but he always seems to stick a couple past me whenever I play against him (but then again, everyone seems to stick a few past me, I'm not the greatest at defending ).

I'm sure his stats at the start are pretty much pish, but he develops into a little gem after a few seasons.

Well I'm the exact opposite of this; I only buy youngsters really. As you can see by my NeoPES Manager's League team This is how I know these good youngsters

So who's next?

Don't use Gignac too much, only a couple of times with Toulouse
Him and Mathieu are definitely the two stand out players there, his decent height meaning he makes quite an impact because of my wing-based type of play

Kompany for next round possibly?

I was also thinking Kompany. We've done two strikers, so we need someone else to shake it up.

Im still open to suggestions

I know the trend here is to get the smaller players but I think every now and again we should be a Super Star, your Ibra's, Adri's, Ronaldo's and so on.

If we are looking for a defender in PES though I think Kaebi AKA: Dagaka deserves some attention.

We're just looking at everyone TBH; we just started this a few days ago.

So you're lookinh for a player which doesn't occupy the Forard position. Dagaka is a superb young defender, Kompany isn't bad as well, but this weeks featured players got to be Nigel Reo Coker. Even though he isn't a defender, he's a bloody brilliant midfielder - and shown by winning the player of the season award in the NeoPES Manager's League.

Actually, another name pops into my head as well; Arouna Kone of Sevilla and Ivoary Coast would be the most unknown to everybody in PES. He's probably my favourite player at the moment and I'm not kidding - he plays like Maradonna in the game. Try him.
