Gabriel Agbonlahor is quite good. Maybe not the best finisher but good on the wings. His speed is up to about 97 at the moment on my Liverpool master league.

Decided to shake it up a bit with two players this week. Kompany and Vanden Borre. You cant mention one without going on to talk about the other. The two Belgians have both been hailed as two of the best defenders of PES history, having been around since PES4 even at their young age.

The two play together for Belgium and if bought together in ML form a defensive powerhouse that of which has never been seen, as well as a goal threat from Kompany's head and Vanden Borre's right boot.

Now we're talking, Kompany is a superstar defender.

In PES 6 in my famous AS Victoire side, he was brilliant. Quick, powerful and reliable and a top-notch Captain for the team. Scored over 20 goals for me in 10 seasons, mostly from corners and penalties.

Now in PES2008, he's part of my Real Madrid side. I got him in my second season and is really pushing for a starting berth alongside Metzelder in the defence. I'm in my fourth season with Madrid and he is playing awesome for me again.

Without a doubt, one of the best, if not the best defender I've ever had in the Master League mode on PES. Definitely worthy of a starting place at any team, and worthy to be part of my all-time ML team which I will post up in the near future in the 'Favourite Player in PES History' thread.

Both Solid defenders

They have been in nearly every Master League I've had since PES 6. Kompany great CB strong, fast and reliable but he did give away loads of penalties.


Vanden Borre also a very reliable player and versatile could play in denfence and in midfield. He also develops into one hell of a player as well !

Kompany is a rock, no doubt.
Any defence that needs a big CB should look for this guy because he is just perfect, reminds me of the days when Big Sol was such a rock!

Vanden Borre (Vomme )
Haven't used him on this one but have in all the previous games and he develops brilliantly. I often use him as RB but he can also perform more than solidly in CB

A regular addition to my ML teams, and to my NeoPESML team too . Very dominant CB, quick and big, the perfect compliment to Nyatanga after a few seasons.

I've been signing these two players on every ml for quite a few editions of Pes, and I still can't believe that they're only 20 and 21 years old. Both are amazing developers, and it's a crime to sign one without signing the other. Both are very quick and good on the ball, which is something I like at least one of my centrebacks to be. Legends of the game.

These two youngsters are phenomenal. I firstly bought Borre in PES4 I believe because of members on here saying how good he is. And I'll tell you what - I wasn't let down at all. After a few seasons (once I was fairly rich) I was looking for someone to partner Borre in the Defence, and Kompany popped up. I also read about him on Neoseeker and searched him on Wikipedia and even that said in PES he develops to one of the best defenders. Quick to impress TBH. And as of now if I've got the money - I but these two youngsters. No ifs and buts about it.

What position does everyone play Borre in? I've always played him at right back with Kompany in the centre, but I think a few have said that they partner both in middle. I've never tried Borre as centre back, is he any good in that position? Or is he better as a right back?

In game, this guy has many attributes; his crossing, his shot power and his acceleration, not to mention his dribbling skills [2 SA Stars]. Whatever kind of style you like to play in, Trochowski will most likely fit it, and leave you to mould a team around him.

Whether its blasting shots in, or setting up his teammates after a mazy run, Piotr can work it all, and is an awesome player after a couple of seasons.

Whoa, I hadn't even heard of this guy before I bought him in my Everton ML. I just expected him to be a cheap young buy, buy he played well over his stats. He has amazing dribbling skills and don't be fooled by his weak body balance, he just runs past opposing players for fun! He was a beast for me in my Everton ML, a beast of a kick on him as well.
