I'm pretty sure thats wrong, if you did, which I highly doubt, then its weird but they offered on your player, they can't make you pay extra for someone they are offering for your player . . .

I've never had to pay anything in a trade offer. I've been offered bad players and that's as bad as it gets.

The rest of the game was all United as Rooney and Tevez almost doubled there tally with good chances late on.

Arsenal : Young Guns Gone Good

Gunners Closing In On Promotion, May 6th 2008

Since Arsenal TV's last update way back in February after the Gunners' thrilling encounter with Espanyol, they have gone from strength to strength. With notable performances from Theo Walcott, Emmanuel Adebayor and Cesc Fabregas along with Henry Lansbury and Pablo Menendez.
After the Espanyol victory Arsenal met up with Turkish side Galatasaray who they trounced 5-1 earlier in the season. This time the Gunners could only manage 3 after goals from Abou Diaby, Aislan and Robin Van Persie gave the victory to Arsenal.
Arsenal then had to win the hard way in Brazil against Internacional. After Fernandao's opener gave the host the lead, a double from Emmanuel Adebayor ensured that Arsenal came home with points. Another defeat to arch rivals Tottenham was next, as a Jens Lehmann error gifted Darren Bent a tap-in with 5 minutes to go.
Arsenal did however get back on form in the next game in style. After losing 1-0 to Ajax in the first fixture between the two this season, Arsenal got some payback in an epic game at the Emirates. Goals from Arda Turan, Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Toure, Machado and a double from the scintilating Emmanuel Eboue gave Arsenal a 6-2 victory over the Dutch side in one of the games of the season.
On the back of the Ajax game, Captain William Gallas was selected for France's friendly with China in preparation for Euro 2008. Gallas' departure was evident as Arsenal welcomed league leaders Bayern Munich to the Emirates and earned a creditable 0-0 draw with the Germans after Jens Lehmann was sent off after 38 minutes.
Next up for the Gunners were Marseille who they easily defeated after goals from Ji-Parana and Emmanuel Eboue secured the points, after another match winning performance from the Ivorian.
Arsenal weren't to have it all their own way however as they fell to Ducth minnows FC Groningen 2-1. Goals from Berg and Lovre in first and second half injury time respectively cancelled out Adebayor's opener.
Arsenal did not let the result get to them however as they beat Feyenoord 2-0 4 days after as goals from Theo Walcott and Ugur Ucar sealed the win. Arsenal won yet again against Besiktas as they ran out 3-1 victors before finishing off De Graafschap 2-0 the following week as a Cesc Fabregas penalty and an Abou Diaby strike settled the points as April came to a close.
May started off with a bang as May-day conjured up a thrilling tie between Real Zaragoza and Arsenal. After Sergio Garcia's opener gave put the visitors ahead Arsenal struck back as Emmanuel Adebayor scored not once, not twice but three times as he put Arsenal 3-1 up. Arsenal did however lack concentration and two late Jens Lehmann errors allowed Garcia again and Zapater to equilize for Zaragoza.
Arsenal did however grab another win as they saw off Fiorentina today after goals from Walcott and Adebayor.

Arsenal : Young Guns Gone Good

A Season To Reflect On June 1st 2008

So, with 40 games played, 2 in the cup, 38 in the league and with over 100 goals scored, the 2007/08 season is one to look back on for the memories of Arsenal football club. One year after moving into the new Emirates stadium, and leaving behind the legendary fortress that was known as Highbury, big things are always expected for Arsenal football club. After falling at the first hurdle in the cup to North London rivals Tottenham, nobody would have predicted that Arsenal would go on to gain promotion and in style. Despite not winning the league, may fans and football know it alls alike are agreed upon the fact that Arsenal FC are the most entertaining side in the league, after scoring 3 or more goals a sensational 20 times this season, Arsenal are without doubt one of, if not the most entertaining team on the planet. With Arsene Wenger's strict transfer policies and his love for nurturing youngster from an early age, before welcoming them to the big stage, it was the Arsenal Young Guns who stole the stage this year. With the ever impressive and clinical finishing of Emmanuel Adebayor, who went on to score a total of 25 league goals this term, the creative genius Cesc Fabregas not only pulling the strings and creating chances from midfield but also scoring numerous goals Arsenal have a deadly combo of youth and raw talent. Along with Fabregas and Adebayor, Theo Walcott and Emmanuel Eboue also deserve notable mentions with both players versatile and adapting to numerous positions along the season. With Walcott playing on either wing and occasionally up top as a striker, and Eboue, playing down the wings, as a full-back or as a centre back if need be, both players got alot of games. Their plaudits came from the wings though as both players manager to conjure up a vast amount of assists and goals between them. Another mention goes to Spanish goalkeeper Pablo Menendez despite not being the first choice stopper, when called upon the young Spaniard has been nothing short of sensational. Featuring 8 times this term, and keeping 7 clean sheets, yes 7 and only conceding 1 goal which came in the final fixture as Dutch legend Rudd Gullit's son Raejko Gullit poked home for Lazio, Menedez looks a good bet to take the number one jersey for Arsenal next term, unless manager Wenger opts for the more experienced approach.

It wasn't all happy days for Arsenal though. With 3 defeats to rivals Tottenham this year, two 1-0 losses in the league and 4-0 drubbing in the cup was a memory which will take the shine of what has been a fantastic season for Arsenal. Another woe is the form of keeper Jens Lehmann, at 37 years old the German has a wealth of experience. His exuberant nature and kaiser like attitude has gained him more enemies than friends in his time in England and this season did nothing to help that. After conceding over 20 goals in the league along with being sent off against Bayern Munich and dropping a ball into his own net against SBV Excelsior were all but a few of the things that made the 2007/08 season a season to forget for the German. Another low point was the pittering out of form of Eduardo Da Silva, Robin Van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner. After starting the season so brightly, the trio were banging in goals left right and centre. However with Arsene Wenger's continential style of football in the 4-5-1 formation and the unrivalled form of Emmanuel Adebayor, Van Persie and Eduardo were made to be contempt with places on the wings rather than up front. This coinciding with a lack of form and fitness put a dark patch on the season, the season wasn't terrible for the pair, but had the potential to be so much better. Bendtner on the other hand, score a bag full of goals from a limited amount of games. Scoring 6 times from 8 starts, Bendtner's form and goal scoring ratio had the potential to equal if not better Emmanuel Adebayor's. However with the signing of young Turk Batuhan in January and Luke Freeman's impressive cameo's Bendtner was left to wander what might have been.

More admiral mentions go to youngsters Nacer Barazite, Luke Freeman, Henry Lansbury and Vito Mannone who all signed pro contracts last Summer and in return made a combined total of 16 starts between them. Lansbury and Freeman made the headlines however as Lansbury started a staggering 8 games after impressive performances in the centre of midfield wilst Freeman scored 5 goals from just 2 starts. Including a hat-trick on his debut in a 5-1 win over Real Zaragoza.

Along with the youngsters, the new signings made some impact in the second half of the season. After a sluggish start Arda Turan soon made an impact after scoring the first goal in a 6-2 demolition of Ajax. Turan went from strength to strength after this as he held down a first team plae and clocked up 9 starts. Brazilian pairing Ji-Parana and Machado were equally impressive making a total of 16 starts between them which resulted in a gaol each for the young Brazilians. Machado's family is said to be 'enjoying life in London' after speculation his move from Sao Paulo would not materialise after concerns over his families accomadation. As said previously young Spaniard Pablo Menendez did himself no harm whatsoever this season after keeping 7 clean sheets in 8 games, a record not bettered by any other goalkeeper in the league. Irishman Bryn Duffy also had a good first few months with Arsenal as his dogged playing style and love for the game soon saw him become a fans favourite which in saw him score one goal so far. Turkish pairing Batuhan and Ugar Ucar are also said to be enjoying life in London. Batuhan who has been reguarly playing in the reserves scoring 14 goals in just 10 games, also scored on his first start for the club as he scored the opener in a 3-0 victory against AZ Alkmaar. Ugur Ucar are the other other hand has had to make do with limited appearances at his favoured Right-Back. With Bacary Sagna and Emmanuel Eboue ahead of him in the pecking order for the place on the right, it is at Left-Back Ugur Ucar made his mark as he scored his first goal, a tap-in from 6 yards against Feyenoord after being deputised at Left-Back. Ugur Ucar, has said he 'doesn't mind playing out of position if it benefits the team' and 'it's a nice new challenge aswell'. Finally Brazilian centre half Aislan had settled in England, but 'wouldn't mind going on loan to acquire some first team football'. Aislan who scored on his debut has been limited to his first team opportunties as the over reliable pairing of William Gallas and Kolo Toure has not abled Aislan much first team football. However he does 'not wish to leave Arsenal FC, but would not mind going on loan in order to get some experience'.

Tommorow Arsenal TV will bring a full in-depth report of the season, and Arsene Wenger's opinions on every players performances this term.

re: Master League [3]

I don't understand why you would want to do a ML with a team like Real Madrid or any of the other major teams. It makes winning, for me anyway, a lot less enjoyable and there isn't really difficult to sign players as lots of the great players are already there, giving the club a good team popularity.

It just doesn't interest me to play as one of the best teams in the game. Winning every match without signing anyone and building up your squad.

Now I've finished my rant, I have to say that my Basingstoke SOMS, is over, if you hadn't already realised. I just got playing my old ML and realised it was really cool
