re: Master League [3]

Halil Altintop is a good goalscorer, tall, powerful, fast he has it all. Also, look for Newcomers, they develop well and aren't dreadful at the start.

re: Master League [3]

Thanks for the advice.
i just purchased Altintop, i am in my second season at the mid-way transfer window.
I am waiting for Shwarz to appear so i could get him, but i did sign Palmieri, Fischer, And Ramon so far from the newcomers.
I play a 4-3-3
with two CM's and one AMF, and i need a new AMF, one who is very creative and can score goals, and perhaps a young one, any ideas who i should get?

Also, how good does Wiart and Esponisa get?

well, if you want it cheap, there is not a better way then the new comers, and some great strikers that will grow really good are Shwarz, Rowland, Khumalo, but if you are looking to buy one i would suggest Altintop, he is in the " others " section so he comes relatively cheap but will grow.

São Paulo Futebol Clube

São Paulo Name New Manager

São Paulo today unveiled their new manager for the forthcoming season as 37-year-old Brazilian Hugo Delãnes Rodriguez. The former Brazilian under-17 coach takes the reigns at the Brazilian giants in an effort to make Sao Paulo one of the worlds great clubs. He said -

English - I would put this club on the map. Brazil is famous for that is international football, but at national levels, are kings of Europe. My wish is to make this no longer, or at least put Sao Paulo between the worlds great.

Rodriguez also said that he wishes to build a squad with homegrown talent. He said this on the matter -
quote Hugo Delãnes Rodriguez
Portugese - Sim.

English - Yes. I do wish to make a squad full of homegrown talents. Why? Because whenever a good Brazilian makes a name for himself over here, they're easily taken to Europe. Romario, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Robinho, Kaka and etcetera. I wish to be able to keep my stars at this club
Rodriguez also added in another statement that he may bring in a few European players 'to add a new dimension of football' into his squad. And has also said that his homegrown wish, will not be restricted to only Brazil, but all of South America.

The Key Players | By Andrade Augusto, Sao Paulo's number 1 fan

Some people say Sao Paulo are best going forward. Brazilian, flair and skill, Surely that'd mean they were right? Wrong, they do have tremendous prowess up front with a strikeforce dubbed 'The A-star Attack' with Adriano and Aloisio, along with Eder Luis and Dagoberto. But Sao Paulo are also extremely strong defensively. With Captain and legend Rogerio Ceni between the sticks, and with Junior and Reasco bombing down the wings, along with a wealth of height and experience in the centre, Sao Paulo are by know means mugs when it comes to defending.
They look to express this in July when they head over to Russia for their pre season where they'll face Spartak Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow and the Russian National team.

Adriano Leite Ribeiro

The beastily strong forward that is Adriano, has moved to Sao Paulo from Internazionale recently. Saying the reason was because he 'felt loved' by the fans, and nothing compared to them when it came to his decision. At six-foot-three inches tall, Adriano is by no means easy to get the ball off, and his immense shooting and almost like telepathic partnership with Aloisio is sure to bring success and goals to Sao Paulo.

Richarlyson Barbosa Felisbino 'Ricky'

What's the point in having great strikers if you can't service them good quality passes? No worries for Sao Paulo then as they have the affectionately nicknamed 'Ricky' in the centre of the field pulling the strings with his creative passing, long range shooting and great leadership skills. Known for scoring some crackers from range, aswell his good deliveries from corners Ricky is sure to be influential in Sao Paulo's fortunes this season.

Rogério Ceni

Safe hands? Better add feet to that aswell. Rogério Ceni isn't your standard run of the mill Goalkeeper by any means, nor club captain for that matter. With immense free kick ability, the 'guy with the gloves' more often or not is first choice on free kicks, and boy does he know how to execute. With nearly a hunder goals to his name in his long illustrious career, from free kicks, penalties and a few from open play, combine this with a colourful and exuberant captaining style, Sao Paulo has one of the worlds most eccentric footballers. Ain't a bad keeper either.

Lol, I love that feeling; all that effort and hard-work put in.

Have you given yourself any challenges or set any goals? Besides being the best team ofcourse. I mean like real challenges like transfers, games, formations?

I haven't like put a strict cap on anything as such. But was thinking along the lines of only 2 players in the squad are allowed a salary of 1000+ and only 2 Europeans at one time. Makes it kinda realistic. I mean how many Brazilian teams have Europeans

Managers Word

Portugese - Bem.

English - Well. We scored 7, great news. Adriano's hit form, Aloisio aswell, and even Rogerio Ceni scored. But we conceded 9. And lost 4-0 to the Russian National Side, who on the day absolutley abliterated us. Fair play to them, but i am still very dissapointed defensively. I wasn't able to play my strongest eleven once, which was dissapointed, but we can take positives such as goals scored, and put them over the goals scored. I'm pleased, yet still dissapointed. In the first game, we came from behind to win in extra time, after going level. In the second game, same story, same outcome. But in the third we feel to pieces, may have been just exhaustion and fatigue after play 3 games in 7 days, but still, Saenko and Synchev were fantastic for them and it proved as they scored 3 goals between them, and then Arshavin netted a thunderbolt. Roll on the seasont though.

re: Master League [3]

Thought I'd update everyone with my ML youth team. These are the youth's I've acquired so far;

Wolf
Bos
Berger
Postma
Fischer
Prieto
Carter
Chapi
Kaiser
Camacho
Khumalo
Orellano
Cabrera
Jean
Machado
Koeman
Griffiths
Gutierrez
Kim U Don

Out of those, Wolf, Bos, Berger, Fischer, Postma and Prieto are all regular starters, with Carter, Chapi, Orellano and Camacho all beginning to push for regular places.

Some of my older players are getting to the age of retirement now, most worryingly Ailton and Marcelinho who have both been my regular goal scorers since the first transfer window. I was hoping that Shwarz would have appeared by now so that he'd have developed into a decent striker to get 15 to 20 goals a season to replace Ailton who's now 37, but unfortunately he hasn't appeared yet, but Carter seems to be doing a decent job at the moment. Doesn't quite have the pace, but he's the kind of fox in the box striker who will hopefully be scoring regularly next season. Marcelinho should be good for one more season, giving Orellano and Khumalo the chance to develop a bit more. Signed Kaiser recently, and based off previous games, he's going to be an absolutely amazing player
