CHELSEA 1-1 Arsenal

Chelsea faced Arsenal this week and both teams were desperate to win as the winner would go into 1st place. Chelsea opened the scoring when Anelka went down in the area only for Guarin to slot home the penalty in the 38th minute. Arsenal got the equaliser when van Persie headed from outside the area. Arsenal almost got a second when Ahsley Cole crossed the Stephen Gerrard who narrowly missed the goal. Chelsea almost got a second too in the last minute, Puyol shot at an open goal but his shot was cleared of the line by Clichy. Man of the Match award went to Puyol.

CHELSEA 3-0 Newcastle

Chelsea kicked off their Champions League campaign against Newcastle hoping to get a better result than last time they faced each other. Chelsea managed to get a goal in the opening ten minutes when Guarin tapped in a shot on the line from a pass from Emre. Newcastle had a chance to equalise when Moutinho took down Duff in the penalty area but Moutinho wasn't booked for his challenege, but it was a penalty, but Petr Cech made a fantastic save to denie Owen a goal. Anelka then tapped in another shot after Ronaldinho hits the cross bar from 45 yards out. Chelsea then scored in the final minute of the game when Bosingwa taped in from a Anelka pass. Man of the Match award went to Petr Cech.

Valencia 3-2 CHELSEA

Chelsea travelled to Spain this week to get a win in the Champions League group stage. Valencia got off to the best start when in only the 6th minute, Joleon Lescott gave away a penalty which Villa scored. Villa scored again in first half stoppage time to put Valencia 2-0 up. With 11 minutes left Anelka scored to make is 2-1. Valencia then scored another with 4 minutes left. With the last kick of the match Guarin scored but it wasn't enough for Chelsea. Man of the Match award went to David Villa ( Valencia C.F.). After the match Chelsea and Valencia was fined after the referee had to issue 9 yellow cards (7 Chelsea & 2 Valencia) and 2 reds (1 Chelsea & 1 Valencia)

Blackburn 1-3 CHELSEA

Goals from Anelka, Ronaldinho and a 32 yarder from Alex helped Chelsea beat Blackburn, but the focus should be more on the defender rather than attackers. Chelsea almost conceeded within a minute when McCarthy chipped the keeper but Lescott managed to run back and clear off the line. Chelsea then gave away a penalty in the second minute, but Petr Cech made another fantastic penalty save. Chelsea then scored with Ronaldinho in the same minute as the penalty was missed. Anelka then scored from a yard out on the stroke of half-time. Alex then scored a brilliant 32 yard shot with 5 minutes left. In the last minute of stoppage time Jason Roberts got a goal but it didn't matter as the whistle blew seconds later. Man of the Match award went to Anelka (Chelsea F.C.)

CHELSEA 2-1 Aston Villa

Chelsea gave John Terry his first match since being dropped as captain a thew weeks ago and he didn't start very well after picking up a yellow and giving away a penalty, which Cech ofcourse saved. Aston Villa took the lead when Cech tryed doing a marsielle roullette he lost the ball to Carew who seemed to pass it back to Puyol who then tryed passing the Cech who fell to the floor to give Carew an open goal in the 13th minute. With 2 minutes of normal time left Anelka dribbled into the box and played a through ball the Puyol who done a brilliant dummy to let the ball role to Ronaldo who fires the ball into the bottom corner. With about 20 seconds left Anelka scored a great goal when El Zhar dribbled into the box and passed to Anelka who fired it as hard as he could into the top corner of the goal to put Chelsea ahead. Man of the Match award went to Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea F.C.)

Newcastle 1-3 CHELSEA

Chelsea was really hoping for a win today after a historic come back scoring 3 goals in 5 mins against Newcastle in the 1st leg. Chelsea got of to a great sart with Anelka scoring in the 27th minute. Anelka scored again in the 41st minute to double Chelsea's lead. Newcastle scored with a Viduka header and Chelsea knew that they need to score to win because of away goals. Ronaldinho who was at this point playing as a center-back scored with 6 minutes left to put Chelsea into the next round of the FA Cup. Man of the Match award went to Carles Puyol (Chelsea F.C.)

Liverpool 2-2 CHELSEA

Chelsea get the good news that Drogba has returned from injury early and has made the bench. Chelsea got off to a good start when Anelka scored in the 9th minute after he got round the goalie and scored. Anelka scored again in the 15th minute when he scored an open goal after a Malouda pass. Voronin then pulled one back for Liverpool when he got round Cech and fired it in the back of the net. With 8 minutes left Voronin got past all the defender and past the keeper and scored a fantastic goal to level the scores. Man of the Match award went to Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea F.C.). Chelsea did have a bit of good news though, Drogba played 13 minutes of the match and is expected to start for the next game.
