Cup Day Fever!

After losing one-nil in the first leg at home. Tottenham Hotspur go into the second leg of their Division Two Cup first round tie needing the win to progress.

But much like the first leg, they look to rest some key players ahead of their last game of the season before the mid-season break. They rest Darren Bent, Luka Modric, David Powell, Heurelho Gomes and Alan Hutton. Gareth Bale is missing from the line-up after an injury he picked up in the last game, though he is expected to be back for their game against CS Sedan next week.

The Spurs line- up is:
Cesar
Zokora-King-Woodgate-Ekotto
Lennon-Jenas-Huddlestone-Bentley
Pavlyuchenko-Campbell

Negotiation Period News:

Not much went on during Tottenham's first ML negotiation period. They bought two new young hopefuls, Ryan Babel came in from Liverpool for a small amount of £3.5million, and they also signed Youth starlet Camacho, the midfielder was one of a few good players Tottenham tried to bring up to their squad, they were rejected by; Bos, Gunther, Bianchi, Yamada and Kaiser. They only said farewell to a few players as well; Stalteri and Cerny will both carry on their careers in Spain with Racing and Levante respectively, whilst they released Jamie O'hara as they felt he was not part of their future plans.

BABEL BECOMES KING OF LANE!

If anyone doubted that the young dutch centre-forward was not a good signing from Liverpool for the simple fact that he was let go at not only such a small price but with such ease was clearly mistaken and made to look a fool after Tottenham's Division Two Cup First Leg tie against Coapolo at the weekend.

The dutchman scored twice inside the first fifteen minutes, the second from an angle thought impossible to score from, especially when he was outside the box at the time.

Tottenham then went on to completely destroy Coapolo, two goals from Pavlyuchenko early on in the second half made it 4-0 and the game, if not the entire semi-final, looked all over. Camacho then went close to rounding off a superb full home debut with a stunning shot from 20 yards, he curled the ball past the keeper, but it clipped the post and went out for a goal kick, but the goal did come with stoppage time left, Babel knocked the ball to him on the edge of the area, he let it run onto his left foot before beautifully lofting the ball over Rojeio for 5-0, and he pretty much marked his place as man of the match.

Man Of the Match; Joint.
23. Ryan Babel (spurs) two great early goals proving his worth.
25. Helder Alonso Camacho (spurs) a brilliant performance, dominating the midfield and getting a cracking goal for his team.

CAMACHO IMPRESSES AGAIN.

Young youth midfielder Helder Alonso Camacho has made a perfect start to his career at Tottenham, according to Left midfielder and fellow youngster David Powell [me]. The winger said that the young spaniard has come straight into the team and earned respect from all of the lads, especially the elder ones, for the way he has presented himself on and off the feild at such a young age.

At just 17 Camacho has proved that he has what it takes to battle it out with the best for Spurs, he has played three times this season for them since joining in the winter break, and has scored twice. He has also won one man of the match award for his performance in the first leg of the D2 Cup semi-final against Coapolo, which he scored one of his two goals in, the second coming as a header in the second leg.

Upon arrival many wondered if he would make it into the team, with a place to be fought with against Jenas, Huddlestone, Zokora and Modric, many failed to believe that he could make it into the team until one of them leaves. But he has forced his way in with many good training ground performances, and with a little more stamina under his belt, as well as ability in the form of passing and body balance- the manager has promised that the youngster will feature in plenty a game for the lilywhites in his time at the 'Lane.

The youth player signed a professional 5 year contract with intentions of staying on even after that. He was among many youth players that Tottenham tried to buy in the transfer period, but was the only central midfielder, proving that he caught the eye of the Tottenham coach moreso than the other two in the youth system that was ready to move onto professional clubs.

The spaniard has promised more goals, more development, and a long, long career at White Hart Lane.

Spurs to battle for top spot with Patagonia.

With just three fixtures to go until the end of the season, Tottenham Hotspur have recently lost their top spot position to title rivals Patagonia CF, of Argentina.
Both sides are level on 22 points, but 'Gonia are just edging it with a better goal difference of +14, whereas Tottenham's is of +11.

The Lilywhites will be going head to head with them in fixture 13 which will prove to be the season title decider if both team win in fixture 12 tonight.
It will definetly be a tense encounter and will be reported in full live on here, just for NeoSeeker in the near future.

Until then, Tottenham will play Toulouse FC hoping that they can keep up the title pressure.

Also, the teams for the Division Two Cup Final were found out last week after the semi-finals were played out in mid-week and Tottenham will be facing Toulouse FC at the Camp Nou in Cataluna, Spain in five weeks time.

re: Master League [3]

Neo Athletic have been promoted after thumping WE United 8 goals to 1 in the last 90 minutes of the season. After a "disturbing" first half (according to manager Neocaesar Serengezzi) by letting 1 goal in to last place WE United, the Neans came back out of the tunnel of Stadio via Del to end the second half scoring 8 goals. goalscorers were new signing Marcelo with a hat-trick, Arizmendi with two, Joao Moutinho and Sidnei with the last goals of that season.
Serengezzi told the press "I feel that this will be our first and last season in the 2nd division.
