Nice start so far, but that's all really. You haven't really put many challenges or restrictions for yourself. Try to be original is all I can say. Put a little more drama in your SOMS, and a little more about the players and manager and so on.
I can see this getting somewhere though. Good first attempt.

Ta, forgot to write it but Im restricting myself to no more than 20 players and average age isn't allowed higher than 25. Starting with 5000 points.

So you're not allowed to buy a player over the age of 25? What if you buy a player when they're 24; do you have to sell them as soon as they hit 25?

No I mean like the average age of the squad, so i'll add up their age and divide by how many there are and round it if its not a whole number

Real Betis 3 - 2 Basingstoke 14:50 - Basingstoke's first friendly after hearing about their entry to the elite league, which was a surprise for all of us. Basingstoke start key player and captain Ben Wells in the centre of midfield and pacy striker Michael Charles but Betis look like they are going to be the stronger side. 15:07 - Betis have started much quicker than Basingstoke and are challenging them all over the park and have had a few shots but none to test Venter as of yet. 15:12 - Betis take the lead, Capi beats his man to slide it past the helpless goalkeeper. 15:47 - Half-Time Basingstoke need to up their game if they want to get something out of it. 15:52 - Basingstoke have come out all guns blazing and are playing some good passing football. 15:56 - Ben Wells plays a ball through to Luke Townsend who beats his man and slams it in the bottom corner. 16:01 - Basingstoke are on level terms for no time at all, a ball is played over the top and Venter comes out to retrieve it, but he misses the ball and clatters Sobis to the floor earning himself a red card and giving away a penalty. 16:03 - Ben Townsend drops in goal but fails to get close to the penalty as it flies into the top corner. 16:24 - Charles on the edge of the box, finds Townsend who beats his man and pockets it into the bottom corner. 2-2 16:30 - Corner to Betis, Zygier heads away easily but it drops to Arzu who volleys it from 25 yards and it practically breaks the net. Amazing goal and surely the winner. 16:38 - Full Time. All in all a solid performance from Basingstoke. Mr Philosovsky has a word with us about the performance. quote Marek PhilosovskyNext up for The Dragons are Valladolid.

AC Milan : The New Breed Gilardino, Maldini and Nesta Selected For Azzurri, October 10th 2007 ![]() AC Milan's Alberto Gilardino has been selected for the Italian National Team this week as they are looking to seal their spot at EURO 2008 by winning their group. A group consisting of France, Scotland and Ukraine amongst the big names, Italy travel to Hampden Park next week as they face Scotland in a crunch tie at the top of their group. Gilardino who has been limited to much playing time this season has still amazed many as he has scored 4 goals in 5 appearances, as AC Milan manager Cesare Prandelli is yet to find his favoured strike paring. Gilardino will miss the game against De Graafschap at expense of his call-up Along with Gilardino, Centre back pairing Paulo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta will also miss out on Milan's game against De Graafschap this week as they have been called up. Their absence looks likely to give Brazilian Wing-Back Serginho his first start of the season. Marek Jankulovski also misses the tie against De Graafschap following his dismissal against Benfica in last weeks 2-0 victory over the Portugese side. With 7 games gone, and with 6 wins, 0 draws and a solitary loss to boast, Milan sit top of their league with a sunstantial +17 Goal Difference and level on points with fellow Italians Udinese. Milan have impressed many so far this season scoring 26 goals in just 7 games, but lost the opportunity to go further ahead as they lost to RC Lens 2-1. Milan look likely to strenghthen in January as their agin squad is starting to pay dividence as older stars such as Paulo Maldini, Cafu and Inzaghi are unable to play every week. Valladolid 0 - 0 Basingstoke Valladolid are a strong side and should give Basingstoke some problems but off the back of their good performance against Betis anything can happen. 14:45 - Basingstoke seem to be fielding a totally changed side to that which faced Real Betis. A brave move move which could turn out to be costly. 15:13 - Basingstoke playing some more good passing football but neither side looks like scoring. 15:45 - A dull first half. It can only get better. 15:50 - Basingstoke pushing forward but Valladolid defending well. 16:30 - A bore draw, never really looked like taking off. Let's have a word with captain Ben Wells. quote Ben WellsSo, Basingstoke will be having some trialists for the next game. Exciting times for Basingstoke.
