Lol, i think Minty said it. But try to link real life facts, and stuff to the actual gameplay. So like i did the new manager thing, and then did a pre-season tour where i took only a part of the squad like. Whilst actually doing the ML their isn't much you an do. Pretty much stuff like if you do a report, say something like 'Inzaghi missed todays game with a slight thingh strain which he picked up during training' when in reality he just had a rey arrow. Keep it real like, and with it being Basingstoke, and not many people knowing much about them, you can g a bit wild
I'll porbs borrow a controller and do one last SOMS with my beloved Reading. I've already done a Spurs one.

Arsenal : Young Guns Gone Good Ones To Watch Out For, July 2nd 2007 With some new summer signings coming into the ranks such as Eduardo and Bacary Sagna. Their is already a squad capable of performing at the highest level, and beyond. And to mark the occasion with only a few days left before Arsene Wenger's men depart for the far-east here is a few of the players to watch out for next season. Cesc Fàbregas ![]() After making his debut over four years ago at the tender age of 16, young Cesc Fàbregas has came along way, in terms of development and ability. Still at only 20 years of age, Cesc has proven to many as to why he is one of, if not the most promising central midfielder Europe has to offer. With the long standing Thierry Henry departing for Barcelona this summer, a possible Fàbregas-Henry partnership has been blown wide out, after showing hints of joy towards the back end of last season. However with new striker Eduardo Da Silva supposedly 'technically astute yet deadly' could Cesc form an equally if not more destructive partnership with the Croatian.[/div] Gaël Clichy ![]() Young Gaël first started showing promise when former ever present Arsenal Left-Back Ashley Cole was around. After much speculation as to whether Arsene Wenger was going to purchase a new Left-Back to accomadate Cole's absence Wenger put faith in Clichy and left him cement his place. After a successful 2006/07 season which has seen him become one of the most fearsome left-backs in the league Clichy has now grasped his opportunity and is a solid Arsenal first teamer. With lightning quick pace, and a deadly delivery, Clichy has the ability going forward and can also tackle. Watch out young Gaël as he could well be a very, very good player for Arsenal this season. Theo Walcott ![]() Wing wizard Theo Walcott, is sure to impress many this season if given the opportunity. The explosive winger, who sealed a £12m pound move from home town club Southampton at just 16, was also selected for Englands 23 man squad for the World Cup in Germany despite not playing a single minute for Arsenal since his move. The move attracted much negative criticism as England were knocked out by Portugal on penalties in similiar fashion as to their Euro 2004 departure. But given time Walcott has shown since his early days he has the potential to become one of the best.

Arsenal : Young Guns Gone Good Van The Man, July 8th 2007 South Korea 1 - 3 Arsenal South Korea Kim Dong Yae Oh Beom Seok - Kim Sang Sik - Kim Chi Gon - Kim Dong Jin Kim Nam Il - Lee Ho Kim Do Heon Lee Chun Soo - Cho Jae Jin - Park Ji Sung Arsenal Mannone Sagna - Toure - Song - Clichy Hleb - Fàbregas - Diaby - Denílson - Eduardo Van Persie With the night sky shadowing over Korea's capital Seoul, Arsenal embarked on their first friendly of the season as they lacked horns with the Korean National Team. With some big names in their ranks including Manchester United's Park Ji Sung, and Tottenham Hotspur's Lee Young Pyo on the bench the South Korean's would be far from easy to beat. With a second string of players in the far-easy Arsene Wenger made some bold decisions concerning his team as the academy graduate Vito Mannone deputised in goal, whilst Alex Song played at Centre Back. The matched started poorly for Arsenal though. As a through ball from Lee Ho, was gathered by Lee Chun Soo, who many of the Arsenal team thought was offside, including keeper Mannone, who whilst rushing for the ball slowed down as if Chun Soo was offside. It turned out not to be and Chun Soo rolled the ball into an empty net with 14 minutes gone, to the dismay of many Arsenal players. Arsenal were quick to get back though as with 21 minutes gone, neat play from Robin Van Persie and Gaël Clichy resulted in a high cross from Clichy, Alex Hleb won the aerial challenge and knocked the ball down into the path of the incoming Cesc Fàbregas who headed past Kim Dong Yae for 1 a piece. Arsenal soon turnt the game around 4 minutes later though. After more good footwork from Alex Hleb on the right hand side, his cross fell to the feet of Eduardo Da Silva who struck his shot at goal on the half volley, in what looked a routine save for Dong Yae. Luck was not the Korean's side however as the ball took an ugly bounce and deflected in off his shin. The game was all but sealed soon after, with 39 minutes on the clock, Abou Diaby's pass was collected by Robin Van Persie, who made advances on goal. Being swarmed by Korean defenders, keeper Dong Yae made an attempt to narrow Van Persie's angle, but all was to no avail as the Dutchman sent a curling effort from the edge of the box in to the top right hand corner making it 3 for Arsenal. With Arsenal performing well manager Arsene Wenger made only one change at the interval bringing on Gavin Hoyte for the tiring Bacary Sagna. In what seemed like a slow paced match in the Korean heat, which was muggy, Arsenal made some more changes with an hour gone. Arsenal made a switch to 4-4-2 formation as 15-year-old Luke Freeman made his debut coming on for Cesc Fàbregas. Phillipe Senderos replaced Alex Song, Henry Lansbury came on for Denílson and keeper Vito Mannone was replaced by Pole Łukasz Fabiański who got half hour between the sticks. Not much changed from the changes, apart from a few sparks of life from Freeman and Van Persie looking lively as ever. Wenger then made his 6th and final change with 4 minute left as Nacer Barazite replaced Gaël Clichy. Thanks to the change Abou Diaby reverted to Centre Back whilst, Kolo Touré moved to Left-Back. Arsenal : Young Guns Gone Good Kool Like Kolo, July 10th 2007 Saudi Arabia 0 - 2 Arsenal Saudi Arabia Zaid Al-Bahri - Jahdali - Al-Montashari - Al-Mousa Darwesh - Khariri Al-Jassam ----------- Al-Ghamdi Y. Al-Qahtani - Mouath Arsenal Mannone Sagna - Toure - Hoyte Hleb - Denílson - Fàbregas Walcott - Van Persie - Bendtner Freeman After the last game against South Korea a comofrtable win. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has taken a more attacking approach to tonights game Busan as he deploys a 3-3-3-1 formation with young Luke Freeman spearheading the attack. Goals should be expected. After several glimpses of breaking the deadlock Arsenal come close once again as Robin Van Persie's free kick blazes over the bar but what can only be described as a 'hair's length'. A dissapointing first half comes to a close as Arsenal are being frustrated by Saudi Arabia's stubborn defence, and their own very narrow formation. Arsene Wenger makes 2 changes at half-time taking off Cesc Fàbregas and Alex Hleb, and replaced them with Henry Lansbury and Abou Diaby, as he drops Robin Van Persie into midfield, and plays a 3-4-3 formation. As the second half kicks off, Arsenal finally break the deadlock. Robin Van Persie's brilliantly weighted corner met the head of Denílson who firmly headed home into the Saudi Arabian net after 47 minutes. The formation change seems to be working wonders. After another Van Persie corner albeit from the other side was floated in, Centre Back Touré rose highest to nod home into the bottom corner with only 5 minutes gone of the second half. With the Saudi's looking tired, manager Wenger decides to bring off Luke Freeman and replace him with the more technically astute Eduardo with a little over 20 minutes left. With the game dying off much like the Korea game, Wenger makes another substitution as Robin Van Persie departs to be replaced by Nacer Barazite. Meanwhile, Kolo Touré and Justin Hoyte are replaced by Phillipe Senderos and Armand Traoré respectively. Arsenal : Young Guns Gone Good A Pain In The Pagis, July 13th 2007 Rennes 2 - 1 Arsenal Rennes Luzi Bernardi Danze - Borne - Hansson - Traoré Wiltord - Moreira - Cheyrou - Marveaux Briand - Pagis Arsenal Fabiański Sagna - Hoyte - Senderos - Traoré Walcott - Lansbury - Hleb - Diaby - Eduardo Bendtner After 2 wins out of 2 and 5 goals. 3 formations and many substitutions, Arsenal come up against what could possibly be their hardest opposition so far, as they face French side Stade Rennais, with former Arsenal man Sylvain Wiltord playing for the opposing side. Arsenal get off to a terrible start with just four minutes on the clock Midfield anchorman Abou Diaby is sent for an early shower after receiving an extremely harsh red card. After the dismissal Arsenal set their sights on scoring the first goal, but could only come as close as the cross bar after Nicklas Bendtner's knock down was smashed onto the crossbar by Henry Lansbury from 8 yards out. Half-time comes to conclusion with the scores still at 0-0 somewhat of a formality for this tour. Arsenal will look to open up thier opponents in the second half. Arsenal make two changes at the break, bringing on the ill Cesc Fabregas for Alex Hleb and Alex Song for Armand Traoré. And once again, Wenger's substitution pays off as Arsenal unlock the game with little more then 7 minutes of the second half gone. Phillipe Senderos' through ball to Walcott started the move as the speedy winger advanced on goal before having his shot saved, only for Nicklas Bendtner to scram the rebound home for 1-0. Arsenal made another formation change with just over 20 minutes left as they went for a 3-5-2 with Eduardo playing off Bendtner and Walcott and Clichy down the wings. The formation change did not pay off this time as Rennes got one back with 4 minutes left as a low drive from the edge of the box by Moreira beat Fabianski. It's unbeleiveable, Arsenal are losing. After a long through ball by Moreira found Pagis, Fabianski came rushing out much like his German team mate Jens Lehmann does, only to miss the ball and allow Pagis a goal. So a loss for the Arsenal as they soon depart off to Japan. Can Arsene Wenger get his side by on form. Scorers 52' Bendtner 87' Moreira 89' Pagis [Moreira] Cards 4' Abou Diaby

With just four minutes gone, Bacary Sagna is the first player to go in the book for a late challenge on Fujimoto Arsenal take the lead as Theo Walcott's electric pace enabled him to cut the Japanese defence in two before slicing a cross to Fabregas unmarked, before the Spaniard did the rest and tucked home after 26 minutes. With little else action for the first f45 Arsenal head into the break with a 1-0 lead. He does however make a substitutiion as Henry Lansbury heads off and Alex Song comes on. Robin Van Persie also moves up to accomadate Walcott and Arsenal are playing a 4-4-2 With not much happening in the second half Arsene Wenger makes 3 chnages as he brings on Clichy, Barazite and Freeman for Hoyte,Hleb and Walcott repectively. Arsenal : Young Guns Gone Good Iran You Can,July 17th 2007 Iran 2 - 2 Arsenal Iran Talebloo Kaebi - Hosseini - Rezaei - Nosrati Nekounam - Mobali Zare Kazemian - Hashemian - Enayati Arsenal Fabiański Hoyte - Djourou - Touré - Song Bilong Lansbury - Fabregas - Diaby Barazite ----------------- Clichy Van Persie An an unimpreesive performance last time out Arsenal will be looking to get right back on track with some goals and a win against Iran. Youngsters Nacer Barazite and Henry Lansbury start. Arsenal started this game better than any game so far as Cesc Fabregas' corner was headed home by Johan Djourou who scores his first for the club after 5 minutes. However not all was good as Iran struck back after Zare's long range strike flew in past Fabianski who was caught out of position after 25 minutes. All would be back to the norm a minute after as Abou Diaby's driving run from his own half and shot left the Iranian keepers hand buzzing, and for the unfortante Rezaei bundled the ball into his own net. It was a day for mistakes today. Iran equilised after Johan Djourou's unlucky clearance hit Enayati and rolled over the Arsenal line for 2-2 after 40 minutes. One of the most exciting halves of the pre-season came to an end shortly after with Iran somehow level with Arsenal after two fortunate goals after horrendous defensive errors. With his side drawing with a unknown team, Arsene Wenger made a bold substitution and brought on Armand Traore in for Alex Song, after Song had been embarassed in the first half from all angles. The second half was of the same standard of the Japan game and didn't produce any moments of magic, apart from Nacer Barazite looking quite comofrtable on the ball. Arsenal : Young Guns Gone Good Oz My God!,July 20th 2007 Australia 4 - 5 Arsenal Australia Schwarzer Neill - Beauchamp - Moore Emerton - Grella - Bresciano Cahill - Skoko Kewell - Viduka Arsenal Fabiański Sagna - Senderos - Touré - Traoré Walcott - Lansbury - Fabregas - Denilson - Van Persie Eduardo After another dissapointing draw against Iran, Arsenal will want to end their pre-season tour of the far-east with a win against Australia. Australia have numerous Premier League stars on view, with Mark Viduka, Harry Kewell and Lucas Neill all but to name three. Arsenal start off at electric pace as Theo Walcott runs down the right, he cuts back crosses, and Eduardo volleys home from 12 yards, 1-0, 1 minute. Australia came back with a fight thoguh as Mark Bresciano's long range frree kick flies in past Fabianski for 1-1 after 9 minutes. Arsenal take the lead again after a sweeping counter attack involving, Eduardo, Lansbury, Walcott and Fabregas was finished by the Spaniard after Walcott's low cross. 2-1 Cracking goal after 32 minutes. Australia aren't ones to lie down though as they equilize again after Harry Kewell broke free of the defence before slipping the ball past Fabianski for 2-2 after 38 minutes. At half-time the game is poised at 2-2 like the previous game, manager Arsene Wenger is avidly frustrated at his sides poor performances towards the back end of the tour. Australia take the lead shortly after the break as the ball falls to Kewell who once again puts the ball past Fabianski. Australia grab another as Harry Kewell's effort is blocked but the balls falls to Mark Viduka who smashes home for 4-2. Arsenal do grab one back however as Robin Van Persie is fouled in the penalty box and Cesc Fabregas coolly slots away after 56 minutes. This is sensational. Arsenal have came back from 4-2 down to go level at 4-4. Theo Walcott's run down the right hand side once again reaped the rewards as he squared for Eduardo to slot home to complete the comeback with 17 minutes left. With the game all tied up, Wenger makes a shocking substitution and brings off Cesc Fabregas and Armand Traore and brings on Nacer Barazite and Gael Clichy with a little over 10 minutes to go. They've done it! Atfer trailing 4-2 with over half an hour to go, Arsenal have made a sensational comeback to lead 5-4 after Theo Walcott scores the goal. What a game, as the game draws to a close with Arsenal winning 5-4 in dramatic fashion.
