Nigeria won 4-1 I think, didn't see the game though because I was watching the Brazil/Argentina match. Argies looked decent in that game, but apparently Nigeria were devastating on the counter attack with all the pace in their team. I'll definitely be watching the final.

Argentina won 3-0, Aguero grabbed his first two goals in the Olympics and Riquelme scored with a penalty. Brazil were fairly ineffective going forward, they only livened up a bit when Pato was brought on. I don't know why he didn't start because Sobis was pretty isolated up front on his own, Ronaldinho was supposed to be supporting him but was clearly only half fit; he barely broke out of a jog but still managed to show some nice touches. Argentina played some nice stuff at times, Messi was kept pretty quiet but still made some of his jinking runs into the box. Riquelme and Mascherano were both superb. Ref spoilt the game a bit with his constant whistle blowing and ended up sending two players off, but they weren't exactly the worst challenges you'll ever see. At least Lucas can go back to Liverpool now though. How were Nigeria? Do you reckon they could give Argentina a run for their money?
EDIT: It was Lucas and Thiago Neves that were sent off. -------------------

quote David SilvaNigeria are a fast, quick passing team, but I don't think they'd have as much depth as Argentina. Still, they'd certainly give them a run for their money, but Arg with the likes of Riquelme,Messi,Aguero etc. would probably be better off. Odemwingie for Nigeria was good from what I saw actually. And their Goalie made two amazing saves, both in a row. -------------------

Nigeria played well against Belgium but to be honest Belgium ain't that good the scoreline shows that, But Nigeria scored some blazing goals i was impressed with their attacking force.
I reckon There gonna struggle against Argentina but should be a good match to watch. I hope Nigeria win tho -------------------

Belguim were without Kompany, and 2 other key players, but Despite that, i felt Nigeria had a good game.
The final will be closer then it seems, but Argentina, with the squad they have should be able to take the gold. ------------------- Manchester City ML
