I've got him on my ML, does a good job for me when he plays (though Gambino is my RMF of choice).

yeah you were right about that, he didn't come to me lol, no suprise considering I don't a popularity ranking yet, still below the D as I have only won 1 game so far. Hopefully things will start to change now with the signings I bought in.

Just bought yaya toure and castolo has got 10 in 14 for me now not bad ordaz banging in with 12 assists 9 of them leading to castolo scoring and hes got 6 in 10 as he couldnt play all matches through injury and wilhelmson is doing great hes my best player along with yaya toure.

He's doing a job definitely. Seems to have lifted the team, his passing's very slick, so I've been playing him in central midfield, and he's doing a good job of sweeping up the loose ends and then distributing the ball to a man in space. In fact I'm very pleased with his signing, well worth the money.

What does a player's popularity indicate? Does this mean they are good players? Does this mean they'll be getting better?

I have Beckham on A atm, but Ruskin's just got a D next to him.

Its pretty much how many games they've played (thats what causes it to go up over time anyway). They get bonuses for playing in internationals (Schwarz got called up to the Germany squad before he'd even played a game for me a week after he appeared on my ML, and he came back with popularity D), and I think they get bonuses too for being top scorer/assister/best player in competitions.

I'd guess that the amount they go up each game is also dependent on your team's popularity ranking.

That sort of makes sense, although I dont think Ruskin's played any more games than Dodo, Ivarov and Ximelez, and they're all still normal.

So what benefits does having a popularity grade bring, if any? So Ruskin's on a D now, does that mean his stats will improve better?

I'm really not too sure about the workings of the player popularity ratings, so this is all guess-work really. It might have something to do with player ratings as well as amount of games.

I think all it means in terms of advantages is that their salary and transfer value will increase, and they will be more likely to get bought by bigger clubs. I had Puerta during my second season, and he was on D by the mid-season window and I wanted to sell him because IRL he's dead, but noone made an offer even though he was on the transfer list. By the end of the season, he had got up to B I think because he was playing well and frequently (and got top assister in the cup), so I took him off the transfer list but over the summer Man United and Real Madrid both made big offers for him which I accepted.

Can I just ask, during the negotiations, is the little number to the right of the player's name (out of 100 I presume) an important factor when it comes to signing players? I've noticed a correlation in which the better players have a lower number. Is this anything important?

I'm pretty sure it's the same sort of thing as the stars from the last few PES's, indicating how likely it would be for them to sign for you. So someone at 64, for example, is more likely to want to sign for you than someone at 18. The better players having a lower number as they're quite unlikely to want to sign for you.

The number means how likely the player in question is going to come to your club - Higher number = more likely.

I had a very strange/annoying thing happen in my ML the other day.

I was looking at the Total Assist rankings, as one of my players is close to the top (A.Lennon), Deco was atop (around the 60 mark) the last time i looked. Deco has been displaced by Kerzhakov of Sevilla standing at a ridiculous 471 assists.

I re-started the console hoping it was just a glitch. Wrong. Kerzhakov will not go. Highly annoying as i now have a semi-realistic (as realistic as it can be anyway) assist ranking and a Kerzhakov assist ranking league.

I officially hate the Defaults . It was all well and good for the first few games of the season. I wona few games. Scored a few free kicks. Lots of players were doing the business.

Somehow it went horribly wrong.

Libermann forgot how to play football, and how to defend, leaving massive holes and shipping a few own goals too! Gutierrez has hit a horrible goal drought. My midfield is as slow as a truck in reverse. Im bottom of D2... Its actually embarrassing.

I dont know what to do!
