Super League Details and Information

Super League Season 2: Rules, Regulations & General Format
Unlike the opening season, this one will take the form of a cup competition. There are currently 37 teams taking part in the Super League and in order to reduce this number to a suitable amount, a preliminary qualifying stage will take place. The teams who finished in the bottom four of their respective leagues in season one will each be entered into a single group. In this group they will play each other team only once and once the fixtures are complete, the 3 highest ranked teams will continue into the next phase of the competition.

In the next round there will be 8 separate groups each consisting of 4 teams remaining in the competition. Teams will be seeded for the group draw depending on their final position in the league last season. In each group, the four teams will play each other twice and once these games are complete, the two highest ranked teams in each group will qualify for the knockout stage of what will be known as the 'Super League Championship'. The two lowest ranked teams in each group will enter into a lesser competition which will be called the 'Super League Trophy'.

In order to maintain the interest of the five managers whose teams failed to qualify for the group stage, a friendly group will also be created for these teams to take part in. Each of the teams in this group will qualify for the Super League Trophy.

An unseeded draw involving each of the qualifiers will then take place to determine who will be playing who in the first knockout round of the two competitions. Each tie will consist of a home and an away leg and the winner on aggregate will progress to the next round. Needless to say, the knockout stage will continue until a final game is played and the winner of this one legged match will be crowned season two champion. As the Super League Trophy will consist of five extra teams, the five lowest points scoring teams in the group stage will play against the five losing preliminary qualifiers from the friendly group in the first round. Five of these teams will then progress to the second round where they will be joined by the other eleven teams for a straight knockout.

The competition will kick off immediately after the end of season transfer window closes.

In relation to the Transfer Window, I'm after a winger and a centre-back on loan if anyone wants to help me out.

Great idea there Sweeney, looks like it will make this league thingy much more tidier. Got a lot to spend. 57 mill.

stealthy babes is rite about this... not tht I want to kick them out or sumtin ( my buddies Leon and Coldy are in the list)... but its impossible to buy players from their teams because they simply are not online anymore

Oh and BTW, looks good Sweenster, allthough Im a little confused with the setup, but it looks like the seasons will be shorter which is good

I'll see about bringing in some new managers to replace the inactive ones.
