Yeah but people who are bottom of the draft list should have a good chance of getting players like the people at the top of the list are getting.

The first person could pick Kaka and Ronaldinho, and I think that's unfair.

I think Swatchss' system works but I don't think you should be allowed to pick players judged on their secondary position.

I did post tht tht only the primary position counts, I also thought tht I wrote it down somewhere in the first page, but after just reading it I realised I didnt , but indeed u cant pick Ronaldo because his primary position is attacking. and I did say tht there will be more flexible, thts why people can choose any defender or midfielder or attacker instead of cb, lb, cmf, amf etc. Also you will have the choice to pick 2 free players.

Im sorry for the confusing, but I cant allow C. Ronaldo, sorry Skares

Aye like say 1 or 2 players each time regardless of where they play, that makes perfect sense plus would also be quicker.

Skares needs to pick his midfielder again and he has the time till may 25th 7pm. Unless he chooses Juninho Toonami's picks will stay and then Chelskiman can pick his GK and MF

Pick the best 11 players for each position from the game then do a draw via msn to allocate who gets who.
All teams decided in one day then allow each member one day to change any allocated player they have been drawn with any other player in the game or swop with players other members have been allocated.
Day 3 the competition starts.

No offence but I don't like that method at all. People don't just pick players because they are the best, a lot of other reasons can contribute to that too. For example if I had first choice of striker I might choose Del Piero over the likes of Henry and Villa because he's my favourite player. Other than that it's a matter of opinion who are the best as many of the players with lesser stats turn out to be great players and I also hate the idea of having a random team generated for you. The main reason why the PES6 Draft League was a huge success was because everyone was able to build their own teams rather than just being given one.

Hence the reason you get to change any allocated player with one of your choice.

Anyway, I'm no doubt havering so sorry.

I still believe picking who you want is the best way. Obviously as this has started so late it probably wasn't a valid option but imo it shows who is a good manager. For example first person to pick "do i go for a world class superstar, or do I play safe and pick the best gk".

I tried to innovate new things in the Euro thing, which tbh has taken off like I thought it would, but the injuries and suspension and team confidence have an effect which makes the manager have more of input which imo was missing from the Super league and imo one of the reasons for its lack of interest as managers had nothing to do.

The Super League managed to last for nine threads I believe so I wouldn't say it was that bad. The main reason for it's lack of activity in season one was because the leagues were too big, lasted ages and most teams had nothing to play for. The Draft League proved that you don't need the inclusion of suspensions, injuries and the like to make a manager competition successful and although they are good features to have, it isn't really feasible for the organizer if the competition is as big as the Super League and Draft League were.

If anyone is interested, I plan on running a Draft League on PES 2009 although the name will remain as the Super League so that the same graphics can be used (mainly the logo). Of course this all depends on whether Konami pull there finger out and persuade me not to go for FIFA instead.

Thats why these things aren't a 1 man job.

I think I made 2 changes to my Man Utd team throughout the whole Super League. IMO it became boring as i had nothing to do because no one was injured and no one was suspended therefore what was the point in having subs.

I think to generate more interest that these comps need to focus more on the manager than actual teams.

I think your boredom in the SL was largely down to the fact that you opted to choose the best team on the game and therefore had little do to in transfer markets and things like that, I'm sure you even said something to that effect yourself. This of course is not a factor in Draft League competitions.

Again, the Draft League managed to last for about 19 threads itself without suspensions or anything like that so I don't agree with them having to play a part in a manager competition. No disrespect but the Euro 2008 competition isn't exactly booming with activity with those features included.

Tbh the reason all the threads are failing this year is because the game itself is shit.

I find the Euro Compatition better than the super league. I got bored with the super league because I never got anymore money for the rest of the season and i could not exactly sell my player as people did not want to buy them.

I find the euro better because of the suspensions and the injuries. I'm constantly checking back to make sure none of my player are suspended or Injured.
