Does anyone else agree or am I playing the wrong game? I've enjoyed all previous versions of PES on the PS2 so I was eagerly anticipating the release on the next gen consoles. I bought the xbox 360 version last night and was very disappointed !!! It just feels crap I don't know how else to describe it and the 360 game pad is horrible with this game. The men just look so plastic in HD and the ball looks like, I don't know, a steel marble. I prefer the PS2 PES 6 version at this stage. I am not giving it enough time?? I don't know I love PES but I've enjoyed FIFA 08 on the PS2 more so far than this heap of shit...........

Of course the leap from 6th generation to 7th generation is going to be huge, so there's bound to be some getting used to. Also, a new console is going to be hard to get used to, especially with a game that you've always played on another console. I'm in the same position as you tbh, as I'm getting a 360 in a few days, and I've always played PES on the PS2, and I realise that I'll have to give it a chance.

If you want a fluid, realistic football game with heaps of replay value and lasting appeal, Pro Evo is the best you're gonna get, not that arcade Fifa shit.

i was a fan of both pro and fifa but the last two pro's have been s**t pro 2008 is really s**t i gave it four days to get in to i cause it takes time to get in to every pro but not this time the graphics are so not next gen the music/commentary is cheesy the whole game is cheap and tacky fifa out classes it in every way pro fills like ur playing one of them dated arcade football game's you would find in breakers

Seriously guys I am not a "fan boy" of either game. What is this fanboy crap anyway it sounds pathetic. Anyway, I just wanted to get some thoughts on what other people were experiencing. If I sound like I am bagging PES well its probably out of frustration not because I am a FIFA "fanboy". I love PES always have and if anything agree with the fact that it's better than Fifa. However, in this case I can't deny that I enjoy FIFA 08 on the PS2 a hell of a lot more. All in all I am very disappointed, I agree that in the previous PES iterations it has taken some time to get used to but this one just doesn't click........AT ALL. It's a bloody shame!!

meh, I find this version of it to be much better than PES 6 or any other version, the passing seems slicker and when you score a cracker from long distance it actually brings a smile to my face lol.

This always happens when a new Pro game comes out. Just gotta wait for the people who are crap at it and can't get used because they have to staying power to the new system to filter out of the forum, then the experienced players can start talking about the game.

Mate I am a seasoned PES player however, it's typical for people that have negative opinions of a game to be put down as "fanboys" or "noobs" you internet geeks really do need to get more creative with your slang. Anyway, I shouldn't have to get USED to a game? WTF??? the sign of a worthwhile game is that it plays well out of the box, the only reason people have to get USED to it is because there is no real competition to PES. They hardly change ANYTHING year after year. I hope they get their ass into gear for PES 2009 or Konami will see their faithful abandon their jewel in the crown.........

Well I haven't played the game yet, should be getting it on Tuesday or Wednesday, but a lot of people, and I mean a lot of people have complained about this game being bad, being worse than last year's series or not competing with Fifa. It worries me a bit about all this, I hope I think differently.

I've never been a big Pro Evo fan, mostly playing Fifa. But I have to say, so far from what I've seen from this game looks ace. I mean, you can have a made up team with odd players and play them in random divisions trying to win things?! *bleep*ing ace it is.
