I think you should just leave a rules thread out to be honest. Almost everyone that comes here knows the basic Neoseeker site wide rules of no spamming, no flaming, no flooding, etc. If they're broking, it should consequently result in a ban. It's your own decision, but I personally see no point in a rules thread when there's sitewide rules to follow.

He may as well start off the thread index with the rules as done in most forums, I'm sure as a new moderator he'll want to write up his own set of forum rules anyway. Even if we all know them, moderators can add on their own rules should they need to, so they'll be good for Eric to refer back to should he need to hand out a ban.

Yep, he could certainly do that. It's just normal for new moderators to make their own rules and refer back to them when giving bans, closing threads etc.

If he choses to do it, I think he should just add a few basic rules then a big link directing to the sitewide rules, but if he chooses to do a huge rules list, then it's hist choice, I'm not fussed.

Yeah, I was just about to say what LCFC said. I think I'll keep the current Thread Index, but I'll fix it up later, add some rules maybe and then a link to the site wide rules. I'll also delete all of the other posts in the thread to save some hassle.

Eric, in the thread index, at the bottom, where you have put PM Eric, put your moderator dude, then people will know your the mod, if they havn't noticed, because they might just think your any Tom, Dick or Harry.

Suggestion: Make thread subtitles a different colour to the thread titles, it just looks odd at the moment.
