That reminds me, I have a team made of my class from school, must start an ML with them coz it would be funner than playing with the defaults everytime I play.

My track record looks pretty bad because I've started 3 games as the ML Defaults

Ha, the ML defaults are terrible. Their fatigue when playing on the hardest ML difficulty drains out so quickly !

Haha i remember doing that on the orginal PES so much fun exagerating how they look heightwise, etc. even gave my best mate a blue mowhawk

You could make the players really, really small and quick and they would run around like little lunatics.

I havent done my ML in ages im starting the alphabet challenge tommrrow so i should get a Ml post there

I've found the ML harder to get into last year than this one. I was determined to get a good one going this year but just not happened. Last year I played quite a bit simply to get achievements but that incentive doesn't seem the same this year.

I played PES 6 on the 360 for 1 day and got 80G - win D2 league and Cup. Simple Gamerscore

I can't remember who else I had in my team but I remember I didn't have Kaka playing in my preferred Starting XI by 2011, I think he was replaced by Shimizu or Yamada or someone like that. Mathieu was a beast of a left back as well and Eto'o was a pretty damn good right winger with his pace and power.

I started off as Chelsea and sold all the deadwood like Drogba who weren't good enough for my squad

That reminds me of the noob days of PES5. I got to 2014 with my ML. This was roughly my best overall:


I had a ridiculous team, so much so that there was no place for Henry, Et'oo, Shevchenko and players like that in every position.

Nesta and Bianchi both had 98+ defence, Chivu had 90 attack as well as 95 defence at one stage.

Cryuff was Cryuff, Ronaldinho and Rooney were like 99 in everything. Torres and Cole were amazing in the game also. I enjoyed it so much.

Haha, I always find the best ML's are ones where you buy your favourite players, which is why I'm enjoying my Man Utd ML at the moment, because I'm just going to try and buy players that I like.

Half-way Stage

League

With the squad additions from the last transfer window my main aim for this season was to win the league. At the half-way stage it looks like my team is delivering the goods and we currently hold a 6 point lead over second placed A.C Milan. Last years winners, Barcelona, started the season well but their form dipped after a 3-0 loss to my United side and they currently sit 4th in the table, Inter in 3rd.

I've been very pleased with lads' performances so far this season, having only lost one game to Roma, but the player that's stood out for me this season has been Wayne Rooney. He's played in three positions this year - centre forward, attacking midfield and left wing - and he's excelled in each position and has given me a massive headache in deciding where to play him. Grabbing 10 goals so far in the league this season, he sits second place in the league top scorer charts, 2 goals behind the fat Brazilian Ronaldo, and top of the all-time top scorer charts with 33 goals.

League Cup

We got a by through the first qualifying round which was a relief as it gave our new signings more time to gel but in the 1st round we got drawn against Atletico Madrid.

I was confident we could beat Atletico Madrid, especially with the first leg being at home, and my confidence wasn't in vain, seeing us win by a comfortable 2-0. I put out a reserve side in the 2nd leg, resting my key players for the next league game which saw us play A.C Milan. Tevez replaced Rooney up front, with Nani and Lennon on the wings, Park filled in for Scholesy and Foster was between the sticks instead of veteran keeper Van Der Sar. Even with a weakened side we managed to turn them over, Tevez bagged a hat-trick to ensure a 5-0 aggregate win.

In the next round we play Liverpool, the first leg away. I'm confident we can win as we can beat anyone on our day, but we also know that Liverpool can pose a threat especially with Kuyt up front. He hasn't scored many goals this campaign but we all know what a threat he is and I'll be sure that my players pick him up.

Champions League

We got drawn in Group A and this is how our group looked:

Man United
Inter Milan
Espanyol
Bolton

My first reaction was that we should qualify with ease, hopefully picking up 6 points against Espanyol and Bolton respectively. However, I knew that Inter Milan would be contending with us for the top spot in the group.

The first game saw us play Espanyol who beat 2-0. I was suprisingly impressed with the Spanish club, who knocked the ball about well and created chances but our superior attacking threat and defensive capabilities ensured 3 points. To my shock, Inter Milan drew the first game 0-0 with Bolton and I knew I had to capatilise on this slip-up. The next games saw us win 3-0 at Bolton and 1-0 against Inter Milan to put us top of the group with a 5 point advantage of Inter. With 9 points we're pretty much guaranteed a place in the knock-out round but I'll have to warn my lads against complacency as I hope to win this cup.

Loving the transfers; Mikel and Cassano - getting the deadwood out, don't like either of them.

Van Der Vaart - If hes as good as he is on FM08, brilliant purchase.
Owen - On the front cover so is always going to be brilliant (also scored twice today irl)

Rooney at AM?

Gambino (or at least that's how I think you spell it) is a ML youth, I'm pretty sure. 17 years old with dribble speed of around 90 already

Rooney's a class AM. His strength makes him pretty much impossible to knock of the ball and his dribble speed + accuracy allow for him to run at defences without easily being tackled. He's also got the Shooting from Distance star and has a hell of a shot and he scores for fun. Pretty good passer well. I'd say he's the best AM on the game, but that would only be if I wasn't including Gerrard.
