Aston Villa 2019: Carlos Rolong - Legend!

Rolong, who recently signed a new 3 year contract has been made captain for the 2019 season.
The 29 year old goalscoring goalkeeper has taken over the captaincy ahead of former goalkeeper Scott Carson who left for Mallorca.

Rolong said: It's a proud moment to even be a part of such a big club but to be captain brings a smile to my face.

" Scott is a very good keeper and i wish good luck for him in Spain. He is sure to do well."

Rolong scored two goals their pre-season tour in Israel.

"Great Pre-season. Umm, I'm extremly annoyed with the current form of the squad. I will be giving out some extremly harsh warnings to a few 'certain' squad members who have acted like immature animals. I won't be naming names, but there were reports. Reports from people that are part of Aston Villa Football Club that 2 members of the squad were out on the town 'enjoying themselves'. This is of course what I don't want to hear but I will be giving out punishments. Thanks for listening"

Other news is that Aston Villa could make a shock bid for Ari Wiart. The 26 year old French midfielder, currently at Real Madrid, could move to the midlands club in a cut-price deal of £2 Million. Ari Wiart has been regarded as one of the best players in the world.

Ramido Orellano is set to join Juventus in January for £10 million. The Argentine striker has been linked with a move away from Villa Park and has said he would love to join Juventus.

Mine was getting boring at about 2013/14 then got exciting again so I'm making some more progress now.

Aston Villa stars get fine and put on transfer list.

Ramido Orellano and Lucas Leiva have been fined £5,000 each and have been put on the transfer list by Aston Villa. 27-year old Orellano is set to leave Villa for Juventus and 33-year old Lucas has been put on the transfer list also and will not take any part in Villa's further games.

After Villa's shaky start to the new season they finally picked them selves up when they hit newly promoted Cardiff City for seven.

They got off to a flying start when Shimizu played a lovely ball through to Young who came in from the left and slotted home from a tight angle, after just 6 minutes.

They doubled the lead when Rolong's long ball caught the defence off guard and Young slotted past the keeper once more after 17 minutes.

Agbonlahor made it three with a direct header from a Young corner on 36 minutes.

In the second half the closest Cardiff got to scoring was when Danjou's long range effort clipped the bar.

But on 58 minutes Young completed his hattrick from the spot after Paolo Negro was shirt tugged at a corner.

Things got much worse for Cardiff when Danjou scored an own goal after Lucatelli missed his backpass.

Goalkeeper Rolong spooned a low free kick under the wall and into the bottom corner on 75 minutes to make it six.

Substitute Mark Van den berg couldn't help but shoot from 30 yards out and his shot flew into the bottom right hand corner to finish off the afternoon on 88 minutes.
