Gameplay/Content Differences |
|
I asked this before in a few places, both online and offline and I keep getting different answers so here we go one final time. I sort of need an answer soon, since the game releases tomorrow.
Now I know the Limited Edition comes with a T-Shirt and some other crap, but can anyone tell me with 100% certainty.... ...IF THERE IS ANY DIFFERENCE IN THE CONTENT OF THE REGULAR AND LIMITED EDITIONS? I keep hearing different things. Some people say no, some people say there's no Character Creation mode in the regular edition. Some say there is that mode, but there are more options in the LE. I've heard the LE lets you customize the appearance of the main characters, while regular doesn't. I can't seem to get a straight answer. So does anyone know for sure? ------------------- ![]()

Whoever told you that is an idiot. You get everything you would with the LE in the regular version, maybe minus a Bonus Disc with a few extra videos on it, nothing else. Nothing to worry about.

I ended up going with the LE because it was only 5$ more at the place I went to. On the back it says "Contains exclusive downloadable character creation kit not available elsewhere"... not sure what that means. Maybe I get a code for some additional character outfits off of PSN or something. I haven't had a chance to put the game in yet... I'll let you all know later.

The Limited Edition came with a card which has a promotional code you can use with your PS3.
I've yet to see what it's about yet, but if there is indeed going to be something exclusive for those of us who got the premium edition, it probably has to do with that. -------------------

I uploaded the code, got my DL and installed it. Trouble is I hadn't started the game yet, so I have no indication as to what is "new".
On the actual DL manager it made reference to additional weapons and equipment for characters. I noticed that all of the main characters have several weapons unlocked to start, including variants of the Soul Calibur and Soul Edge with different properties. Maybe that was it. ------------------- ![]()

Basically, a chunk of the items that normally requires unlocking are unlocked right away for those who got the premium edition. I don't think we actually got anything that is "exclusive". It just means the ones with the regular edition have to work a bit more to unlock their stuff.
