Soul Calibur 1 for the Dreamcast was considered by some as the best beat 'em up ever thus the reason for the 3 sequel, some of them, lacking the same praise. I have to agree with them. It was so addictive just like Soul Blade was back on the Playstation 1 but Soul Calibur was superior in every aspect.

Not sure why. I haven't been so hooked to an online video game ever since Jedi Academy for pc (2003/2004/2005).
This and SF4 remembered me the true fun we can have in a quick skirmish. Golden year this 2009.
