re: character guidelines *for killing*

You mean something like a tier list? Cause all tier lists I can find date back to august 08 and vary greatly from list to list.

re: character guidelines *for killing*

If you ask my humble opinion, this is useless. The most problematic characters that you can't beat isn't because they are more powerful than yours, it's just because whoever or whatever using them knows how to use them. Any character used well can beat anyone else. Train in versus mode with difficulty set to Edge Master against the CPU. See the combos it does and learn to avoid them. People on the net can't really vary much. Except for Ivy. You will need to keep her down at all costs!

re: character guidelines *for killing*

The best you can get is a brief description for each character, I was going to post one here, but I got bored and typed this instead >_> Play through each characters story mode first, and you'll get a feel for the characters you'll want to play as, and what their general strengths and weaknesses are. Come back with questions about specific characters/moves and maybe my attention span won't fade again.

re: character guidelines *for killing*

Really there is no real advantage of playing as one character over the other. All attacks and combos are blockable and there is generally a limited number of combos that someone can do. Thats probably why all the tier lists are vastly out of date.
