quote boxhed123The game likes a dual core processor and your RAM is a bit on the low side. I think you might be able to run it, but will have to run on lower settings to get decent FPS. Go to this site and run the test - it will give you an idea of how your computer stacks up. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest Ultimately, I would recommend downloading the demo and try it out. Unfortunately, the demo is only single-player and won't really give you a great gauge of multi-player, but if you can run single-player then you can most likely get by OK on multi-player. You can get the demo here: http://www.fileplanet.com/180530/180000/fileinfo/Call-of-Duty-4-Demo Aero

Is putting a new GPU and power supply considered modding? I put in an Nvidia 8500GT with 1GB of DDR2 with a duel core and 2GB of RAM already installed @ 1.60 GHz so 3.20 GHz together, and the power supply before couldn't exceed I think 200 watt output. I passed the Flight Simulator X (which is probably the most demanding game ever) test pass the minimum requirements with maybe B+ grade. I get a steady 20-30 FPS on CoD4 and around 15 with FRAPS running, oh and speaking of FRAPS check out a video I made about what I did with C4s. quote AeronutWell i have 2x Pentium 4 with 2.8 ghz, yes its old, but for COD4 it runs brilliantly with nearly high settings. i do have a rather good graphics card though... I'd say upgrade your RAM first, 7300GT would probably get you through it ------------------- 2 signings!Yay! i feel loved -> Guestbook

You just make it into the minimum recommendations with most of your hardware. I'd get at least a gigabyte of ram to smooth things out. You could probably get by on a low resolution on limited graphics but you won't experience the game properly on those settings. If you're a big PC gamer, you should look into a new low end gamer's pc, they're cheap to buy the parts for and assemble yourself or get someone who knows what they're doing to do it for you. ------------------- ![]()
