Ok this sounds lame but i only just finished the game today. (I had got to the bit 10 minutes before Gaul at christmas then i just stopped. Today i finished it finally).

Anyway the ending cutscene didn't make much sense to me. Cynder saved Spyro from the dark energy and then they didn't escape? Cynder even said "Nows our chance!" but why didn't they escape? I know that after that Spyro froze them to save them or something like that.

Another thing. I was thinking, the dark energy that turned Spyro to dark spyro, cynder was there to save him. But maybe the dark master, back when he was a good purple dragon, found the dark energy and became evil because it took him over or something....its a possibility right?

First, he said he wanted them to leave him, he wanted tro be alone or something.
Then he froze because a small clip showed a rock falling to cover the whole.



It's a possibility.
But remember, the guardians said that it was becuase he had a lust for power.

From what I saw during that cutscene, the "Dark Energy" had weakened Spyro to the point that he couldn't stand. It took him too long to get up, so the rocks covered the hole they could have used to escape, and he was forced to freeze the entire mountain in a Time Bubble to keep them from getting crushed.

Absolute powere corrupts absolutely. The Dark Master didn't have Spyro's adopted parents, didn't have Sparx, and he didn't have Ignitus to worry about and care for him. Basically, The Dark Master was alone in the world and had nothing to keep him grounded. Spyro does have those things, so he's able to stay Spyro.

Wasn't the dark master born in normal civilization? I mean he was the one who started the whole war right?

DM was born into normal Dragon society, but I dun think they're like us Humans, who's parents are supposed to raise us from birth. It seems to me that the Guardians care for the eggs, but not in true Parent/Child sense of a relationship. It's kinda like....a Legal Gaurdian, but not a true parent. Get what I'm saying?

But yes, he did start the whole war after he was exiled by the Elders of his time.

Why is every bad guy exiled, DM, Red, i swear even Gnasty Gnorc and the sorceress were exiled too.

I think so. I can't remember the Chroniclers Speech about DM all that well.

Becuase, besides killing them, Exile is the easiest way to get rid of someone. Sticking them into a cell mean they could break out, and since Spyro is rated E, killing isn't an answer.

But couldn't it just be someone from a distant land coming to invade them, and nobody knows anything about them?

Also, why does spyro have to do everything? I mean in the first one all the dragons were crystalised. In the second, he was teleported to a different realm and in the third he was the only one to fit down the hole. But what about ETD and AHT? And dont forget the latest ones, ANB and EN....

(falls over laughing) I'm sorry, Mo, it's just that your last question really makes no sense. It's been Called "Spyro the Dragon" since 1998, and the title character is often the hero of the story. They aren't going to change it now. A Hero's Tail and Year of the Dragon gave the spotlight to some other characters, but Spyro is still the hero of the story. In ETD, all the Dragonflies were stolen. As for AHT, who can say why the other Dragon's didn't get involved. Just lazy, I guess.

And the newer ones, he's the Dragon of Prophecy. Not to mention, the games are called "The Legend of Spyro".

Yeah i know why its like that but it still doesn't make sense....ah well its only a game.

Any online possibilities for DOTD?

Games...they aren't really supposed to make sense. Besides, if you want a game that makes sense, don't play Spyro. Dragon's haven't existed on this world since before the Middle Ages. And that was a very long time ago.

Not according to the Sierra's Gamer Day interview. Co-Op is gonna be local only. (Two controllers, one system/game.) Online just isn't Spyro.

I don't mind much about online anyway, im not a fan of it. I was just wondering.

It seems as if the multiplayer will be one screen but you have to stick together, kinda like harry potter and the goblet of fire for ps2.

I've got one game with online stuff, and I dun like it.

You'll be tethered together, apparently. Harry GOF was odd. I played Hermione most of the time, and Ron was always 50 some steps behind Harry and I. (shrugs) Then again, I was playing solo.

I was playing with my sister and that was really fun. And guess what? Im playing this with my sister to when it comes out....so i hope it will be as fun as HPGOF.

Yeah, I think the Co-Op was a GREAT idea for the next game ^^
