I think the Q6600 must whoop the Phenom's butt, since I get 12850 on 3DMark06, and you get 11800 with a 4870?

Yeah the Q6600 is a bit better than the 9850, but I'm a AMD fanboy.

AMD definitely has a huge price/performance ratio. I love them.

I've upgraded to Windows 7 RC. So far I'm loving it. No compatibility issues to speak of.

I don't know if you're still trying to OC your card or not, but if you are use Rivatuner instead of the CCC.

The CCC can report false OC's, for instance it may say you've got a core clock of 850 when really it's still at stock.

Also did you OC that 9850 at all?

I did have a stable OC on my 4870 back on Vista, but I forgot the values. In fact, I think I'll go ahead and re-overclock it now using Rivatuner.

My 9850 isn't overclocked yet. I need to buy a suitable heatsink.

Well with the advent of the 5000 series of cards, 4870's are dirt cheap now ($125? Seriously?). I plan to buy another 4870. I'm really raking in the money right now with my job, but I'll probably have to wait till after Christmas because of presents and all (Dad wants a GPS).
