re: Player1's Rig |

it looks great, but this is why im not a fan of water cooling - because of all those pipes everywhere and sticking out on top of and behind and so on. are there any cases big enough to have a proper water cooling setup completely within it?

re: Player1's Rig |

Well actually yeah.
In fact my case could have a complete water cooling system within, but I chose to get a huge radiator. I also like all the pipes everywhere so I decided to put the res outside as well. But many cases can fit an entire water cooling setup within, some cases like the Kandalf are sold with a built in setup as well.

what is the temp difference you get between the air colled and water?
You had a very large air cooler on there. Is the water really worth the extra money? -------------------

My hottest core is 15c cooler at load and my coldest core is 22c cooler at load. I'm more concerned at what it will be when I overclock it, but I don't have the time to do that for a few weeks.

15 degree drop is definitely something to be happy about.
Now I am going to look into water cooling mine. -------------------

It's fun to set up, just make sure you plan it out first. Also order more tubing then you think you'll need.

It would work better for the GPU, In fact my next upgrade will be a GPU waterblock. Although this isn't needed, unless you want it.
You can purchase memory that can be watercooled (Like the Flex 2, and the newer Corsair Dominator GT) but I'm not sure if that's actually worth it. I've never seen a water cooled HDD either. You can get waterblocks for your MOBO's Chipset and mosfets though. Once again, I'm not sure if these are actually worth it.
