I have an old mac. Maybee I should try ocing that to get to learn how to do it before I do it on my expensive D2C. Lol, I can see me ocing my D2C to 5GHz, then see it fly out of the case in a fireball! LOL!

For the record this thread is intended for questions on general stability, showcase entries, and the showcase in general. This is not intended as a general overclocking discussion thread. If you are having difficulty with your rig, or just have a few questions about overclocking, please create a new thread for yourself.

We're in the General Cases, Cooling, Overclocking and Computer Building forum...I'd like to not have a single thread that can circumference all discussion. I know they become wall-flowers at one point or another, but we already have a Hardware FAQ and a Computer Hardware Questions thread stickied. You may utilize those two threads for anything related that you feel doesn't deserve it's own thread, and you can even use the GD for almost anything.
Now, let's keep this thread dedicated to it's purpose so no more posts get deleted. If anyone has any questions about thread specifics, you can PM me instead of posting about it, or you can ask in the GD. I'm not logged in all the time, but I read pretty much everything that comes through here so you'll get a response one way or another. ------------------- Union

Anybody with a C2D based system have any plans of trying to submit an entry? The S939 entries and older probably are not doing much educating at this point.

I will try and get my new rig into the showcase once I am back home again... Not a core 2 duo, its a quad, but almost identical OC'ing technique so...

 I have completely re-done my rig with new board, new RAM and new CPU. New GFX card later in the year or perhaps next year.
