I just bought this game after having played the demo at the local Best Buy kiosk numerous times. I loved it. The graphics are awesome. The gameplay is totally addicting and I have heard the story and plot twists are to die for.
Without spoiling anything, can someone please tell me what the story is about including setting and maybe a little bit of information about Cole? I've heard something about the game having "two stories" or something like on IGN. I've heard nothing bad about this game, so I'm hoping it'll keep me busy until Uncharted 2 comes out in a few weeks. ------------------- Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

Ok so during important and unimportant events in the game, you can decide whether or not you choose the good or evil option. This effects the story and some of your power upgrades, so i advise sticking with one karma on your first playthrough. As for the story, Cole is a errand boy, and on one of his deliveries in Empire City, something happens. The next thing he knows, he's injured and in the middle of a huge crater, thousands of people have died around him. Of course, this is what gives him his electric powers, which are very cool (i'll add that in for good measure
 ). Hope that's enough story for you, the rest you'll find out as you play.------------------- You can take games out of my life, but you can't take my life out of games.

Yeah, I'm hoping Amazon ships it to me sooner rather than later. I'm pumped to say the least. That's a pretty good description, though. I have a few other questions, however.
Such as characters - Are they developed over the course of the game? I want some really compelling allies and some pretty treacherous villains. I'm eager to find out how the story develops as well. Is it deeper than the Sly Cooper games? ------------------- Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

Not sure about sly cooper, but the characters are definitely one of the strong points and there are definitely a few twists during the game that will leave you going 0_o

I'm gonna summarize up every aspect of this game for you:
Story - Definately one of the best in video game history. Basically, the story revolves around Cole, a bike messenger who finds himself in a crater after an explosion tears through 6 square blocks of Empire City. He soon discovers that he has been blessed (or cursed) with extraordinary electrical abilities. Cole spends the rest of the game developing his powers, bringing order (or chaos) back to Empire City, uncovering the secrets behind the blast, and trying to escape a government quarantine. The plot will keep you playing to the end. Characters - A wonderful cast of memorable heroes and villains collide in a fight for the city. As the game goes on, Cole struggles with the choices that will either make him famous or infamous to the people. Gameplay - Sucker Punch nailed it here. After all done, Cole will be a badass with the power to destroy armies. -------------------

That's a good summary. Thanks a lot, my friend. It really makes me want to play it more and more, but the expected arrival date is October 9th - 27th, so I'm kinda pissed it's not ensured sooner. But I'll let you guys know what I think, but I've played the demo and I love it.

Yeah, I've been saving every person I see on the street. I just got past the part where you turn the tar valves and he starts seeing shit like he's on LSD. It's a great game so far.

Yeah the tar valve thing is awesome, i loved that. Gets annoying, but adds to the karma aspect of the game.

I think the main villain is the most developed character next to Cole himself
