Favourite Multiplayer Map |
|
There are six maps to play on in the multiplayer mode: Base, Sewers, Monestary, Port, Village, City. Each are unique, and similar to how they are in Campaign mode, but with a few tweaks to make them better. Out of all of these to choose from, which map do you like the best?
For me, the Monestary is definitely my favourite. After watching some youtube videos of this game's multiplayer, that level looked the coolest and it was the first I played on. I must say that it is, to me, the best map. For second best though it would be the sewers, especially when playing CTF. Edit: Gracias, I counted wrong and got five. You named all six.
For non-team DM, I like City and Monastery more or less equally. I hang in the graveyard on Monastery if there are enough people that I don't have to hunt them down. I run the underground tunnels or the allies on City when it's a big enough game. For CTF, I far and away prefer Village. It's an awesome rush with more than 20 people. ------------------- MOHH2: AoW Fortunz lolcats @ aowlol.r8.org/

Yeah, the Village level is pretty much setup really great for CTF games, especially with a lot of people. Smaller CTF games I prefer in the Sewers though, because it is smaller level.
Hanging out in the graveyard is usually a good strategy as there are a few respawns points there for easy targets. -------------------

Heh, nice to see another Monestary lover. I've only played on the Base twice, but the port a few dozen times. What is it about the Base that makes it so repulsive?

Agreed, I just played on it and it does seem a little too big, I guess ideal for 32 players.
I only play the Port level when I feel like practicing sniping, so you pretty much hit it on the nose there. Yeah, I like how the Sewers is compact, but still offers plenty of places to get some action. The City has plenty of back alleys, houses, and bars/chairs to crouch behind for covering to make it pretty fun too. The Village is basically made for CTF, because of it's awesome setup. -------------------

In the order of preference:
City: This map is just fantastic for Team Deathmatch with a large group of people Village: Awesome CTF map and I'm a being fan of objective games. Sewers: This map is very fun in Deathmatch with allot of people and the best map for 1v1. Base: This map is for Team Deathmatch, however, its missing something - Sniper Locations. Port: This is easily the worst map of all time, this is only good for sniper matches. As for Monastery, I haven't tried it yet. However, I will once I get the chance.

quote ChadAlso a couple of good reload points, with enough obstacles to allow to you to regen in between fights. The respawns are as troublesome as they are not. Just as often as you get an easy kill, one of your recent kills will respawn right behind you and try to take his revenge out on the back of your head. But it does keep the area stocked with people, so you're never just sitting there bored. quoteIt's a great map--but it really needs 30+ to be fun. Much less than that and you can run around all day and only find a couple of people. ------------------- MOHH2: AoW Fortunz lolcats @ aowlol.r8.org/

City- Watch out, my zooka and mp40 are at their best their.
Sewers- SMG spam rocks. I basically like these casue they're built for close quarters combat, which is how I play in most games. -------------------

I have lately been favoring the City a lot considering more people lately are having matches in it than in the Monestary or Sewers. I've learned a nice few strategies and got most of the respawn points memorized.

Yeah, I noticed I and a lot of other people usually lag most in the Monestary and City, both really fun levels without lag. I will usually try not to play huge matches, because it seems more lag happens in those.
