	Clans aren't really necessary, but they're a cool thing to have because you can have clan wars where one clan battles another clan. It's just something that adds more longevity within the game if you don't always like random battles. You don't have to change your name, but some people did it to show that they were in that clan. -------------------

	Some clans make you change your name to join, which are the ones I tend to stay away from if you are one of the higher ranks. Tainted pretty much gave the reasons for clans. For communication, a lot of clans will have a teamspeak server or something and/or a forum to discuss upcoming matches and things of the like. ------------------- Hi
