Nope, theres no chatting, but there are a few automated messages like "Wanna play?" and "Bye"

On one of the screens in EA Online, it says something about not giving away personal information such as address, etc. Why would it be there then?

Probably because people can look up other accounts on EA's website.
I've always wondered how to say those automated commands? How do you? By the way, this game would be amazing with voice chat. I say screw Nintendo and let us talk. -------------------

Click "1", and then choose the command. I was hoping we would be able to cooperate in our matches using that, Tainted.

It was basically my way of telling you to get out of there. Or when I called for help, I then said "Negative" because I got killed.
