Jst a genral discusion on wot should b in the new game

I think it should b on ps3 the nxt game so graphics wil b better.

Focus on referees like you can have a strict ref so you can possibly get a yellow card or u can get an in experienced ref that can make a really bad decision that can turn the game.

Online mode so teams can be updated in statistics nd players

better tackling like i find the tackling not that realistic

Will there be a Rugby 09? They only seem to do the games every other year?

I'd love to see it on PS3 though. NHL and Madden on PS3 are amazingly in depth games, and to have a Rugby version of them would be awesome.

Ye nd hopefully theyl put in alot of detail like they did 4 fifa like check has a scrum cap lol maybe andre pretorious wil kik wit sands hu nose but im sure the nxt game wil b brilliant afta this world up

one of the greatest EA sporsts games to hit the PS2!!
although things to improve:

1. obviously better graphics, maybe from the engine of fifa 08

2.take away the STAR rating on players, so their are no outstanding people compared to other chumps

3.have more interaction with rucking and mauling (if your first to the ruck, you have more chance of overturning the ball)

4.in the league mode, once you have completed it you unlock another new mode in which you can create your own team from scratch with any players with no money involved. THAT WOULD BE AN AWSOME FEATURE FOR RUGBY 09!

5.take a little more care in characters faces and appearance

6.make sidesteps,handoffs and shoulderbarges more easier, no perfect timing for you to do it sucsesfuly, just hold the stick in the right direction.

7.THE THING THAT ANNOYED ME MOST!!!!
the forwards are sh!t! compared to backs, they are slow, and dont break tackles any differently to backs, when their are people like Jerry Collins gettin nailed by Shane Williams is unacceptable. 8. have TMO footage if their is a try that looks realy close to the side line.

9. Finaly. to be able to hold the ball up on over the try line, this would make it a hell of a lot realistic.

ye that would be so sik but theres 1 problem the elvs hve bassicaly screwed everything up because i r8 now ea cnt make it because they dont know the laws, elvs are experimental law variations and it sounds like we gona hve elvs for another season this time including the northern hemisphere so like ea doesnt know the rules so they cant make a game with out the rules it would be a disaster so i r8 we are waiting for rugby 2010 or 11 because the irb cant say right these are the laws they are still experimenting whch suks because i think the new laws make the game more exciting but i really dint mind the old laws so we wil have to see but as for a rugby 09 being made i highly dought it

If you REALLY want the game to be good then we all need to email the developers...they are hb-studios! I have emailed them a bunch of times, but obviously they are too 'busy' making a crap rugby game!!!

I agree with most of the changes that are being suggested but I wud also like to see the managerial side of the game developed. The 08 game's most annoying feature is that some of thr referees decisions are wrong like giving a penalty for a crooked throw into a line-out etc.

but thats accurate. line outs have to be straight otherwise the penalty or should i say free kick goes to the opposing side.
