Although I have not played the newest Resident Evil, something tells me (from past RE experiences) that Eternal Darkness isn't quite as scary as it is. Although ED does have it's moments, I still believe RE would be a bit more scary.

Both games aren't scary for me at all, but I guess it is if you're a kid.

I meant scary as in suspenseful as well as some parts that make you jump. And shocker, if you were referring to me, you are only 2 years older than me.

The difference between Eternal Drakness and Resident Evil is that this is a Psychollogical Thriller so remember "Your perceptions will not change reality, but simply color it", there are some cases where people is REALLY affected by this type of games and their reality turns into something bizarre between a video game and real life. I had a friend that now is going to psychological therapies, Resident Evil don't have this cool thing like when your sanity goes down you start seeing things like:
"There is a problem with nintendo´s gamecube control socket one" when your control is perfectly connected, or: "mute", or this trick of returning you to the beginning of the game or when your face is cutted and begins to recite a poem. Is something really creepy. Resident Evil is just zombies and supernatural monsters, nothing mystic or magical, just bored science. Unfourtunely Capcom has got more power (and money) than Silicon Knights, so the graphics of eternal darkness are very simple, in fact this was going to be a game for n64 but they changed it for the gamecube, they wanted to do the same with Majora's Mask. Hey, do ya'll know that Eternal Darkness is going to T.V. in fox?!

I'd say ED is more scary than RE, since RE is just like zombies coming straight ahead you, you shoot a little and they're dead, in ED it's more like, when you see a zombie you loose sense and this gives it a very scary mood,
and it's more logical thinking than just shooting at enemies like in RE

resident evil is more suspenseful while eternal darkness is more about creepiness. the story + sanity system are great if you are playing it in the dark
but it doesnt have the resident evil moments like when you are being chased by nemesis or other large creatures ------------------- RPG maker resources -_- selling games role playing game name generator
