Prologue features you DON'T want to see in GT5.

The penalty system. I wouldn't mind the penalties if they were realistic, like drive-through penalties, or stop-and-go penalties. Slowing down your car would be dangerous in real-life races, and GT claims to be the "Real Driving Simulator"...

The Performance Point system... Whatever happened to the HP limits..? I wouldn't mind a few races that utilise the Performance Points in the full game, but not in all the races.

Pretty much what you said. GT5P was way too anal in terms of the penalty system, where so much as basically sharing debris with another car gets you a penalty that basically takes you out of the race (online, offline depends on car). Same with Performance Points: it's basically an attempt to copy Forza, even though I believed that wasn't a good/intelligent concept to begin with. Go with what works in the last four games.

I agree with going with what works in the previous games. Hopefully damage can come in, it's the only fun way to punish bad drivers in my opinion. Stop-go penlaties? That would get so incredibly boring. I mean, you trade paint with someone and you have to return to pit-lane? That would ruin the race entirely, and it wouldn't be any fun at all.

Dude, this is a touchy subject. Nearly everyone is going to say the extremly flawed penalty system. But you gotta keep an open mind about it. It was designed to get drivers to drive properly in races and stop bad driving like ramming the car infront to go around corners quicker. The penalty system should be moreso used in the Online mode! I have actually stopped playing this bcoz of unsportsmanlike drivers Griefing other players like driving around the track the wrong way, or ramming drivers in the heat of a race so there friends can win races!

Polyphony would seriously want to adress this because it is going to give some bad reviews when the Full GT5 game is released, so they are going to shoot themselves in the foot!

I agree with all of you guys. The penalty system is equally as pathetic as it was in gt4. In real life that would be dangerous. Unless other cars get penalties, but shouldn't have to go back to uur pit lane for a sideswipe, but damage should HOPEFULLY come to discourage it though. Thankfully the Ai has improved a bit, they are sometimes aggressive, and don't always have "perfect" lines. But damage should affect ur cars abilities, like in real life, but not like your turbocharger quitting suddenly. If there's b-spec (hopefully) They should improve it. Even with high b spec level, your car will frquently ram someone in the azz. Having racing teams would be cool too.

1. Get rid of penalties. Instead just have damage, the more damaged the car gets the worst it performs, if it gets to damaged then can't continue the race.

2. Get rid of PP point limits, I want to take an F1 car around the Sunday cup .

3. Bring back the old menu from GT4. I loved that, just the way there a huge open menu that you could just roam around it, I don't want a boring simple list of stuff like most games.

Do you mean the menu where all the manufacturers were sorted into nationality, then there was 80's cars, 90's cars etc. and oil change etc.? I like that menu, but yeah you couldn't put that in Prologue simply cos there wasn't enough in the game
