I got to thinking what if you created a clan fitted to work well, with different members with different jobs and roles?

So I decided to pot it here, I'm not going to be the leader, basically I'm osrt of the mission supervisor.

To start off we will need eight players for the main roster. It will consist of people who specialise in sniping, CQC, infrantry, meds, etc.

How it works out is you post details and your preferred position here, we arrange matches to decide the best for eac one and then construct a squad from that.

The main classes I can name are:

Sniper, a sniper simply or sharpshooter

Infantry, an all rounder who is willing to help any comrades he finds, either medically or in combat

Intel Support, someone with a mic preferably who organises actions and informs members of positions. Would also benefit from knowing map layout etc. So while they move around the battlefied, they scout for enemies and inform the team of their wherabouts, numbers etc and also act as a third man in any action taken.

Then finally each squad will be assigned a captain,the best player in that squad. Decided out of three matches for free for all. The person with the highest score is declared the captain.

Example how this can helpful. In the beginning support and sniper can locat a vantage point and stake that out. Infantry can be i support of the captain as they move around the actual battlefield there sniper overlooks. Intel then moves around on his own and gather information about the enemy, in which case its best to try and avoid contact and simply scout.

So in this case, you will know where the enemy is, have cover from higher vantage points, and have two units on the ground. The intel can also come around behind enemies and use a pincer like tactic. With three areas of assault they can bring down numbers greater than there own.

I know this is all a bit serious for a game, but it's usually the best crack (Fun) when you play it and actually work alongside someone else. Plus it's more rewarding.

I know I only mentions five things, but each squad can have doubles of certain classes. Like two infantry, two snipers, two intel, etc.

Just a bit of advice for you. You might want to have supporters for the sniper and intel, cos the sniper can't watch his back if he's sniping. Likewise, your intel will need someone who can help him out just incase he comes into combat.

Might also want micers on any squads to reply to orders...

I'll join. Nearly a level 2 sniper, level 2 runner ( prefer not to use but will use) and level 2 monomania ( can harm there SOP) I'm a pretty good sniper and I have access to a microphone. I know the maps well and have a kill to death ratio of about 1

Read the bit about support & snipers again, meaning two men on the one post. One for lookout & support, the other is the actual sniper and no it's better for intel to go alone. His goal is to gather intel, the fewer numbers the harder it is for him to be spotted. If discovered he can just flee for cover or allies, but two men are easier spotted than one. Although it does make sense, it would only make the job they should be doing harder.

Micers? If that is the same as infantry, guys to respond to the intel alongside the captain then thats covered to.

It's metal gear in spirt, to using espionage tactics as well as combat can get better results. So you can use several types of formations and dispatch or different tactics. Still not sure what micers are though...

I also just tried this set-up out and it was nothing less than comfortable after our team got set up. We pinned them down and thanks to intel, anything they tried we knew about and where able to put down without hassle.

How many people can be on one team in a battle?

Thats the intel, plus anyone who can get a mic. I don't encourage as for some reason I can't get mine to work, but it would be helpful.

Eight at the most, so the maximum number for one squad is eight. Might have more than one though, see how it goes.

Ah so i'm guessing you're going {sniper, support}, intel, {captain, medic, infantry(x3)}. Curvey brackets representing units?

Something along those lines yeah. It may vary depending on map and game.

So the sniper is set, I'm on infantry & mission supervisor, so I'm the Otacon really. Arranging and aiding. (Deadly with the Mk.17 assault rifle)

i would love to join, seeing is that this clan looks like it will be active but im in the US and ive heard this game is region locked. also the time difference would screw me over. good luck with your clan!
