I was playing a team death match and got bored of it so I quit. It brought me to the sign in screen so I log in and choose my one and only character. It says this character currently cannot be used. So what the hell am I supposed to do then? I spend all this money on MGO and I can't even play it. Thanks Konami.

The reason being why you cannot use your character, is because of the new aborting rule.

You leave games constantly konami bans the character you were on for a short period of time, don't worry you can log back on, just be a bit patient.

It doesn't matter honestly, if you leave the game, GP is subtracted from your stats, and level deleveled, and not only that, but your also banned for a certain period of time.

With all the new rules, it still doesn't help. People STILL leave games.. t(<.<t)

Grr...stupid rules.

I went through a stage where i just joined matches and saw that shotgun was banned then i just left straight away- little did i know my widthdrawal rate was increasing. Then they made the banning rule, and now whenever i need to go to the toilet, have my dinner or go out the room i get banned for 30 minutes.

I've been making sure that the matches i join are ones im going to stay for longer in before i join, and now my percentage of match leaving has dropped to around 8%, i no longer get banned. I just feel like a dirty leaver!

Hello again Dantess, if you have to leave due to dinner, or a trip you have to take outside of MGO, just have the players kick you..
Or spectate until your able to return, the kicking idea works. It doens't take away from or affect your sttats.

It would be a great idea if the host had more authority over the players in his/her match. Basically if the host could kick who he wants it would be alot simpler!

Instead kicking is left to a majority vote, where noobs/morons get kicks out of not letting you leave a match via kicking. And then Konami screws you over by banning people.

I don't really have to worry that much anymore because i have purposefully lowered my widthdrawal percentage, but i try not to be a leaver as much as possible- with one exception. If i am being beaten by a lagger or a glitcher then i don't want them bringing down my stats just because they can't afford a proper internet connection!
