Allow people only once to post in the Introduction Thread to stop it becoming a General Discussion.

I think we should hold off on the General Discussion a bit. I've noticed that they tend to draw attention away from the rest of the forum and have the habit of becoming the only source of activity, fast.

Depends on the mentality of your forum members. It's also ideal to encourage participation in all threads, so it's very much up to Narphinean believing she can properly introduce one or not.

Nope, you can't put restrictions of individual threads. (From memory) Meaning you'll just have to watch the thread. But as Nagare said, I think it's ok to say "Welcome to the forum!" after a few new people have come. Perhaps not after every single new person but I see no problem with welcoming people at all. Just my thoughts on the subject.

That's always an option as well. Right now, I think I'll wait for the first introduction thread to run its course of 30 pages, then make a new one with restrictions explicitly stated. If I may, I would suggest just having one thread with all of that, like an Ultimate Villager thread (example). Of course, that's just my opinion. =P Oh yes, and before I forget, I haven't visited this place in a while so I didn't notice it get a mod.
