You can download graphics for Football Manager 2008 from the following websites:

How do I install downloaded graphics? Top ^

  1. Click Start, and then click My Documents. Open the Sports Interactive folder, and then open the Football Manager 2008 folder.

  2. Create a new folder called graphics.

  3. Open the graphics folder and create 3 more folders called kits, logos, & players.

  4. Move the graphics pack you want to install into the correct folder (kits into kits folder, logos into logos folder, and face packs into players folder), right click it, and click Extract Here. Once the files have been extracted, you can delete the .rar/.zip file if you want. If you can't extract the file, download WinRAR.

Make sure you have extracted the graphics to the right folder (My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\graphics). Also make sure you have unticked Use Skin Cache and tick Always Reload Skin On Confirm in the game options.

I get shadows behind my kits, how do I fix this? Top ^
quote
  1. Download the default kits, and replace the kits in editor data directory (C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\editor data\kits).

  2. Download the rar file http://www.sendspace.com/file/9ry2gf and extract it into the same kit directory.

  3. Create a default folder in the graphics folder where you have put your kits (My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\graphics\kits).

  4. Copy the content of the kit folder in editor data (your first step) and paste it into the default folder.

  5. Reload the game.

I forgot to untick the Skin Cache box last time.

I unticked the box and now the graphics have gone onto the game.

Thanks to everyone who helped

re: Graphics FAQ & Discussion

Right..

I've unticked Skin Cache, and ticked reload on confirm. I've extracted all the files to the right folder.

I made the graphics folder in the "My Documents>Sports Interactive>Football Manager 2008 folder, and then made the skins, logos and players folders inside that.

Then I downloaded the skin, and opened it with WinRAR.. I then extracted the files to the skins folder...

But it still won't let me use the skin... Ideas plz?

EG:
So yeah, that's where I put the files... Anythin' wrong with that?

re: Graphics FAQ & Discussion

You don't make a skin folder in graphics. There should be a skin folder in Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\skins.If not make it and extract your skins to that folder.

You should extract the file to My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 08/Skins. That location should already be there.
