(Assuming it's the 10 max)

I usually do a 'hero' type thing, where I just focus on six, instead of 10. (I'm also aware that this is a very 'un-stable' layout, but it'll be interesting to see how it compares to the actual turn-out.)

So...

1. Main character. (Assuming using sword)
2. Female warrior using an axe. I'll focus her HP more than her other stats. Named...?
3. Male cleric using a staff. I'd build him to have healing and destructive magic. He's be my 'mage' hero. Named 'Michael'. (Me! XD)
4. Male Samurai using a spear. I'll focus his DEF more than his other stats. Named Alex.
5. Female gunner using a...gun. If you couldn't guess, I'd focus on her hit. Named Aslyn.
6. (Not sure. Something with a fist, though.)

--The non-heroes--

7. Thief using a bow. I'd...probably just focus on MOV and JUM. Named Kelli. My thieves in any game that's female is Kelli.
8. N.A.
9. N.A.
10. N.A.

(I'm sure I'd have a monster somewhere in there.)

Well ONE of those spaces is going to be a magic user.

3. Cleric with staff/Bow (Most likely with Attack Spells)

8. Heavy Knight (With Healing Spells, because Knights have mack daddy Res.)

10. Something weird.

Ten will most likely be a monster. Yeah, it's pretty balanced, I think it'll work out.

Nah, just what there is. To an extent. (I think it's interesting that they added a male archer now.)

Well, for me...

1 - Mao (I should expect he is the best overall, at least at the start. I hope he uses sword)

2 - Another main character, depends on what the character can do and stats.

3 - Mage/Skull (Depends on stats and skills they can use). Likely Fire, or Ice magic based.

4 - Another Sword user (Ninja or Samurai type)

5 - Thief probably (gun)

6 - Possibly a Fist user.

7 - Spear user.

8 - Another Mage

9 - Monster class (I may have more than one, if I find a really good monster class)

10 - Healer...Healer isn't my main class preference. I usually take my sweet arse time getting them, since I generally don't need them for the main story. I'll likely teach my mages healing instead.

NOTE: Characters I use depend on what I have access to (character types and weapons), and skills.

After unlocking most everything, I'll probably focus on mostly a sword based party, with some magic.

Sword based team? Guess I never tried that myself. I suppose it would do about the best though.

Swords are the best overall weapon IMO. They learn some good attacks. Two types are one enemy attacks, two are straight line based, one is a straight line distance attack and one is a 3 x 3 area effect type.

My army setup would probably vary a bit.

I hope Majins are a bit better than D2s....D2s majins had a nice special power, but the crappy mov and throw kinda dampened their usefulness...

Ah, yes. D2's Majins. In my opinion, they looked a lot cooler than D1's, but yeah. That MOV of theirs didn't make me smile.

Maybe they'll even have a female Majin. That'd be odd. But neat.

I think it'd also be cool if they had a few 'staff attacks'. Just little things to give mages more of an edge. Like something called 'pole vault' that would allow them to move an extra few spaces in any direction, or something.

Majins in D2 reminded me of Brolly from DBZ ^_^;;; The spiky hair, the waves of energy, and the not so friendly expression >_>

Lol, way back before I got it, I thought Majins were the cute gothic dressed girls. It was the way the page was set up, it made it look like the majins were the girls.

It isn't really a bad idea. But look at it this way, they're supposed to be adding more magic based skills, so mages will be better this time around, I think.

In the past two games you've needed level ?? of all three skulls/mages, so I will stick with that. I try and have all the weapons represented rather than all the classes, as weapons seem to define a character better than class:

• Main char
  
• Secondary char
  
• Best of the random tag-alongs
  
• 3 x Skull or Mage
  
• Priest/Healer class
  
• Obligatory fanservice nekomata
  
• 2 x whatever class best fills the gap remaining on what I need for weapons

i normally use all main characters so my teams arent really as good as everyone elses however all the main character get their own special skills which is cool

4 and 5 are main characters that i might use unless i find better ones. With some new stuff added to this game my team will have monsters too and i might add a healer and a mage so
