I'm tallteen86...I've played Disgaea, Disgaea 2, Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom, even La Pucelle...I should get Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness too....this game is a MUST BUY for me, considering I'm something of a rabid Nippon Ichi Software fanboy ^_~ I was HOPING to find that this forum was made, and lo and behold, it was ^_~

I hope they add more areas, music, and hopefully some Anime Cutscenes (Like D2's opening animation, only in important cutscenes too)...

They have 25GB (fat chance on NIS ever needing 50GB this generation) to use, I'm sure they'll have at least some extra worlds, and music to offer...

Who else here will get this game?

I'll definitely be getting this game regardless of whether or not I actually own a PS3 by the time of it's release. I'm hoping like hell that I can afford one by the time this comes out... >_>

Well, I expect it around Spring, 2008 in North America (Comes out in late winter)...

Do you think you'll have enough money in about 5 to 6 months?

Seeing as how another semester of college will have come by then, (also the fact that I'm still paying off this semester) and I also have $150 monthly car payments (Not to mention gas for said car), all while earning $7.83/hour at Target... Probably not.
Sadly, I just don't have enough to add a PS3 to that list.

I just think it's good to secure a copy while I can for when I'm able to afford one.

I wonder about the online gameplay (if it has any, the PSP game has Ad-hoc)....

Played tactics ogre back in the days. I tend to like Atlus RPGs in general, but I don't buy a game strictly based on who makes it or programs it. Ichi does tend to make good games though. Magna Carta is probably the best non-ichi atlus RPG I own.

Square is also a large representation of my games collection. I followed Final Fantasy to the PS1, PS2, and DS. They shall have to follow me to the PS3.

From my time playing computer games, I gained a liking to tom clancy stlye FPS, D&D style games like Baulders gate, and free roaming games like GTA and mercenaries.

RPGs, ichi or not, may have to take a back burner to the new FPS, driving, and Tomb Raider style action games.

Well, as graphics improve, there is less room for games that don't take advantage of the graphics processing the next gen has to offer, and those games will be dumped in favour of better looking games...

RPGs will still have a strong foothold in gaming, but we need people making them to keep it the #1 genre worldwide...I do believe that, as far as the PS2 at least, went...RPGs were number 1....

Depends on the country though...

I just wish I had a PS3 to play it on. Although it would seem a little silly to but a system for just one game as of now. (But I still want it! )

Oh, then Atari, I'm with you. I don't have a PS3 either. However, I have a decent rent tax check coming in August. Unless something comes up, I'll be using that to get the pair.
