re: Final boss battle help (possible spoilers) |

Yeah, throwing didn't work well for me.
He was always too close and back-handed me whenever I had something to throw. And when I try to get away, he either catches up really fast, or helicopters or a rocket will get me...which is RIDICULOUS! I mean come on! I'm trying to HELP you guys at the point! DON'T SHOOT AT ME! So what I did was I equipped the claws power and used the ground spike (hold triangle on PS3) and killed him from what little distance I had. Jumped on him when he was stunned, beat him to a pulp, one more groundspike did him in. Took me several tries to do this, considering deaths and expirementing with powers. I did realize that the Musclemass power did make throwing things effective, but like I said, I didn't have time or room to throw things easily. ------------------- ![]() *clickclickboom*

I ran about devouring marines and using Critical Pain. It almost felt like cheating.

im having problems on normal, i cant possibly think of what hard will be like, ive tried musclemass, but its useless, when i throw a helicopter, the tail of it hits the floor so it doesnt go anywhere, and when i throw things from the air he always misses, i gave up on it, i must have tried it over 200 times, with various different strategies.

My experience is that there's absolutely no golden rule for doing any of the missions in this game. As I've done some missions repeatedly, it's never even remotely the same twice. This is the most unpredictable game I've ever played, and having managed to finally get to the final boss (with due credit to a friend for helping me with Elizabeth Greene), I really can't defeat this thing no matter how hard I try. And I've tried a lot, believe me! Now just thinking of trying again almost gives me a headache, this is just too hard for me! And, for the record, I'm playing in NORMAL mode, as I always do in every game.

Damn, that's tough. The most important thing I remember from the last battle was to keep moving all the time, if you try and go toe-to-toe you will die.
Oh and like someone said, don't forget all those little marine health packs running around, scoop them up and eat them on the run. ------------------- ![]()

I do, i grab a soldier, jump onto the bridge, and consume him. the other i used the long reach arm over and over to hit him, i jump, use it, land, jump, use it again etc, i never get hit once, but it took his health down suprisingly fast, so im wondering if it would work once the timer starts.
