Today I bought Gears of War for Windows. Which wasn't the best idea. I already have it for Xbox360, however my xbox has the red ring of death so I can't play Gears of War. It's a game I really enjoy playing, so I decided to buy it for the PC. After installing, which took an hour, then when I booted the game up, 3 minutes into gaming it suddenely stopped and went to my desktop because of an unexpected error. Try it all over again, same thing happens. Tried everything to fix, nothing I could do so I phoned Microsoft support. The call lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes trying to fix the problem. By the end the problem was fixed and thanked the man from India for helping me.

Now if you thought all that was frustrating, here's the best part. So I'm an avid Gears of War player that enjoys playing online. I wanted to play rank, so I looked for a match but there wasn't any. Ok so I try player match instead and there's only two matches. I join one thinking great I finally get to play the game I really enjoy. Wrong. I started playing but there was something wrong, it was really laggy, I'm not talking a little lag, I mean I would be standing still and then all of sudden move for no apparent reason. This continued throughout the entire match, nonstop lag.

I was thinking it was to do with my video card and the refresh rate and or the resolution, but it's fine. It seems everyone I asked who was playing at the time was sufferring from this horrific lag, they said it's not just this match, it's every match.

I suggest if you're looking into buying this game not to, buying this game was a huge waste of money and one big frustration.

i think he meant what did you actually do with your computer to fix it, i.e. what microsoft told you to do to get it sorted.

ive played quite a few online matches and its never been laggy, and i dont mean i havent had the huge leaps of lagginess i mean ive had no lag at all. but i havent played in the past month though (been busy with other games) so maybe its a new thing.

Look I'm not a computer whiz, I have no idea what they did, but whatever they did they fixed the problem.

i dohave the game but i was thinking of getting it since i use my laptop more than my consoles. i downloaded an online fps game, thats pretty much the same thing as online gow 2, also since that game dosent lag much, actually barely any i think i will get gow 2. what do u think? plz reply quickly.
