this is where i hope people will fill in the blanks in other peoples heads. Anybody confused about something could just ask and i hope people who know the game well and understood a lot will tell you.

The story of DQ is a very complex one, but I'll do my best to answer some of your questions.

well lets start with the beginning. I believe that odjn linked with Origin the man with the highest d-ratio and told him to find his destiny...but he failed to find his destiny and instead he brought destruction to the surface of the world...he survived though and created a group of high d ratios called regents in order to stop this from happening again...or maybe he tricked the regents into thinking so though he wanted to see if the next dragon would be "the man to grow wings and bring back the sky"... am i right so far? Well anybody wanna follow?

Hmm... Your theory sounds pretty good. As for the "man will gain wings" thing, I always thought that was a metaphore meaning that a Chosen will make his way to the sky someday...

yea metaphor...well to continue maybe origin retained some power from odjn...now ryu who was a grunt always wanted to change the world, open up the sky if it were true even though he was a grunt...odjn chose him because of his ambition and that would drive him to open up the sky. He then met a girl nina, which made him sure that he had to go to the sky. Now here is where i'm unsure...i think some of the regents thought he was linked up by mistake and that the dragon was using him to reach the sky, though he wanted to save nina...i also think the other regents knew he had what it took and just fought him to test him. it would seem that the regents realized he was to take to the sky after he defeated them....so how about now how am i holding up?

Perhaps Bosch was the one who was supposed to link with Odjn...

It's just a theory I have...

i just wanted to know what made you come up with that theory...now to bosch and chetyre...i think that chetyre is odjn's enemy by fate and that it only chose bosch because ryu did not have the heart to kill him. Bosch had linked up with chetyre in order to defeat ryu but it would seem that chetyre linked to him only since he desired power...or at least i think so...then it chose him when it say that odjn had a weakness to him...i also think that chetyre wanted the sky to himself since odjn had it last time around...somebody stop me!

Well, Vexacion (Bosch's father) said that Bosch has strong powers, but does not yet know how to use it, and for that, Bosch seems to have quite a high D-Ratio for a Ranger, which is why Bosch wants to be promoted to a Regent. Perhaps this "power" that Vexacion was talking about meant that Bosch could easily become a Chosen, but Odjn chose Ryu by mistake.

well that would sound correct but as you could see in the SOL clip with him and Zeno, Bosch had issues...he had that little evil glint in his eye as if he would kill Zeno if she had not turned him to regent...also Ryu may not have had strenght but he had will and ambition that Bosch did not...

Chetyre only chose Bosch because of his hatred towards Ryu. I believe Chetyre spoke to him saying "Can.... Can it hate?.... Good.... I'll choose you!". It only chose him because he was a suitable host.... Odjn chose Ryu, Chetyre hates Odjn, Bosch hates Ryu, therefore Chetyre chose Bosch. Get it? It's logical! And what was up with that bio-weapon Bosch had implanted?

first of all thats what i was getting at...except you typed that bosch was chosen becuase he hates ryu....but i think its the opposite, ryu is incapable hating bosch. THATS why chetyre said...."can....can it hate" or something like that. and what do you mean bio chemical weapon or whatever?

If I remember rightly Bosch had a new arm implanted on him to give him a power boost as he said to ryu.... It looked kinda like Ryu's arm in the transformation sequence.... Black and orange. The gang walked through a door and Bosch was stood there covering one side of his body. He looked at Ryu and said "Hey partner!" and revealed his new strength. Lin covered Nina's eyes in horror and then he explained about how it was Ryus turn to witness defeat.... Then the usual fight happens when you just kick his ass AGAIN.... Then he fell off a ledge into a huge hole and supposedly died... But thats when Chetyre came in.... And then the arm kinda grabbed Bosch's neck.... I don't know if there was a SOL that explained more about that scene but thats all I know!

theory no. 1: the arm is the only part left of chetyre
theory no. 2: the arm is the evil part of odjn that became chetyre. if you got the SOL part before you fight bosch and after you fight elyon...you see that bosch/chetyre kills origin...then elyon turns around and says chetyre, shaking violently, you've returned too. then he collapses...meaning that chetyre was here before...in the old days...if is possible that elyon thought the arm of evil that held down the wings of man, were safe with the scientists...but he was wrong...who woulda thought that a ranger with regent qualifications would go wild BEFORE linking with a d-construct
