How can it be the best selling when it's third? (Or even on it's way to becoming best selling). Seems too much like a contridiction. And with WKC selling 203K in the first week (40,000 more than SO4), it's just not making me jump up and down with... well annoyance since I'm a PS3 gamer... it seems likely now more than ever that Square will port this game to the PS3, and improve it immsensely like what happened to Eternal Sonata.

Read the quote carefully and you will understand...SOTLH has the most first week sales in Japan, and is already the third best selling 360 game overall in Japan.
The 360 has not been successful in Japan in comparison to other regions, and many games do not sell as well there. Nintendo and Sony have a much greater market share in Japan than Microsoft does, but they are trying to expand the library for the 360 with successful JRPGs like this to increase sales there. I am sure that Microsoft has done as much as they can to keep this game exclusive to the 360 for as long as possible. Also, keep in mind that the PS3 is more difficult to program for from a developer's standpoint, so a port may take longer than Square/Tri Ace plan on, even if they have started working on it already, which is something they have not even talked about publicly yet. That doesnt mean they havent started working on it, but we have no reason to believe that they are going to port the game...other than blind hope in your case, Krunal. ------------------- " "MW2 Countdown:http://3l3373.com/fla/cod6_countdown.swf

quote KrunalLMAO. actually, the thread name is "fastest selling", not "best selling", and like Caanon said, it has the best results in the first week. damn, I should make more threads like this one. maybe the board will become active. and Krunal - I don't give a shit about 360 (or PS3), I'm just happy that this game sells great and Star Ocean series is alive and kicking ass. I like videogames, not videogame systems. if MS bought themselves an exclusive SO then so be it.

quote KrunalUm, Eternal Sonata isn't any lesser or better on the PS3 than it was on the 360. It got some costumes that you won't pay attention to and two characters that no one cares about. I wouldn't call that an improvement.

You've basically not seen the list of changes made to the PS3 version of the game I take it. Costumes are crap, I don't care for them at all actually. What has been fixed is the storyline. On the PS3 version, more cutscenes and even a boss battle or two was added to improve the storyline, and actually make it better (initially there were just too many gaps in the storyline) so yes, the PS3 version was better than the XBOX360 version... especially after you include the additional of two characters and two dungeons. You may not think of it as much, but having loved the game, I was glad I could spend more time playing it.

The ps3 version might be a direct port :/ (if they add DLC it might be included)
anyways Eternal Sonata (ps3) was also harder than the X360 version in the fact that the monsters gave only 33% of the EXP that they normally give. ------------------- ![]() Fragments of Darkness, Shards of Light. I shall use them to create something powerful.
