I was playing earlier, and I had not used Faize or Lymle yet, but they were in my party. Edge got paralyzed, so I changed to Reimi so I could use an item to cure him. After I used the item, I went to change back to Edge, but hit the right bumper instead of the left. I hit the button twice more so that I would just cycle back to Edge, rotating through both Faize and Lymle in the process. As I did that, I saw several trophies all pop up at once. When the battle was over, I had unlocked completing three trophies for Faize(I think they were Fighting 50, 100, and 200 battles), and one for Lymle(Earn a total of 10,000 fol)

The Lymle one could have been just because I already had that much fol, but I thought I would have to physically fight that many battles as Faize. If the game just screwed up and gave it to me by mistake, someone else may want to try it. If not, then some of these trophies will be easier to get than I though

No, I mean battle trophies. Battle trophies are like mini achievements for Star Ocean. There are actually achievements linked to earning specific percentages of the total number of battle trophies for all characters, and unlockables based on the percentage of trophies unlocked for each character. Each character has a list of battle trophies they can earn(I think 100 for each each character, but not 100% sure at the moment, I will look when I get home from work.) When you earn 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the trophies for a character, you unlock content for that character. I think one of the unlocks removes the level cap for that character, but I dont remember what all of them are.

you get a achievement for 10% of all BTs (thats the first one)

yeah characters you don't use in battle that often or not at all earn at of BTs at once

First time i used Bacchus, i got about 7 trophies
Win in less than 90, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30 and 20 seconds
Then again, i frinded my characters like hell before i got him in my party.

There should be trophies for Chain combo Exceeds for Arumat, against Sataniel i got Chain Exceed 38 with Arumat at only lv60

The first one is at 30% and it unlocks additional voices. The most i have for a character as of yet is Edge with about 35%
