Movie vs. Book... |
|
I will start by saying that the movie is very good and Will Smith gives a really good perfomance, but only if you watch it as something totally seperate from the book... Good movie but the book is just a masterpiece... I can't see how they decided to use the same concept from the book but then took out everything in it that made it so good... The end of the book left me totally in aw, it was wonderful!! The end of the movie makes me think adapting classic stories into Hollywood movies should be punishable by death.... preferably beheading......

re: Movie vs. Book... |

I personally enjoyed the novel more than the movie(s). I can only judge from Francis Lawrence's version since it was the only movie inspired by the book that I've seen. Though it was no doubt a great film, I wasn't too keen on some of the alternating differences between the two, such as the plot and certain sections from the storyline.
According to IMDB, there will be a sequel to Lawrence's version due sometime in 2010. | |
