Why an invisible Sim? |
|
I have had one of the Sims become invisible in a couple of different games for no apparent reason.
All the times until this last game I discovered that something was not right before I saved, but this time to my dismay I had saved it without realizing that there was a problem, so I began a new game. I had completed a majority of the goals, did the Llama Temple and the pirate treasure and all, and I had just built a cabin and then I changed the shirt on one of my Sims and saved it only to discover the problem. So anyone have any ideas as to why it happens? Anyone have any ideas as to what to do, besides doing the game over again when this happens? Also how many of you all have had this happen to you so far? ------------------- Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. | |

I've never had it happen, but I've seen other posts by people who have. I *think* some of them said they kept playing and in a couple of days the Sim became visible again, but I also seem to remember some of them saying they had to start over too. I also believe that all the posts were about Sims 2 games and not from the Sims 1 series.

quote but_kathyWell I have already started over and now I am about to fish for the shark and the treasure map piece it has, this is after I did the ceremonial dive. Anyway, but_kathy I would really appreciate it if you would please let me know what happens in your game. I hated having to start over again, since I was happy with my selection of the crew of 5 that I was playing with at the time, so in the future if I don't have to start over again when this kind of thing happens again, that would be good. <<<+=+=+=>>> <<<+=+=+=>>> An Update! <<<+=+=+=>>> Well I have a solution now. It happened again in the new game! Also it happened in the same place as the other time, South Volcano Beach which is my home area right now, but this time instead of starting over, I decided to act on my intuition, I had a Sim go to Volcano Jungle and then call the invisable Sim to that place. My idea worked and when she arrived she was normal. Then I saved the game and a little bit later, one of the other Sims went invisable and so I tried the same thing and it worked also. So when one of your Sims becomes invisable, don't panic, instead have one of the other Sims go to another location and then call the invisable one there and everything will be fine until it happens again. It happened to me. It happened when my Sim came home from work. A few days later in the game, I sent them to work and when she came home she was visible again
