re: The rest of the people are hopeless |
quote wickedchildThe Sims in the game are part of the same group of people that made up the crew of your ship. So all of the Sims are basically yours and you need to switch between them to control them properly. You should also have each Sim sign up for a Job at the Home Tiki, that way they will do something useful when you are not actively controlling them. ------------------- Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

doh... didnt know i have to switch between them to play. it sounds very tiring. i have created a 6 crew game.. argh. thank you for your tip to assign job to them.
but will they feed themselve and bath themselve? but if yes, i think i need not switch between them then. since they will be self efficient.

re: The rest of the people are hopeless |
quote wickedchildI always switch back and forth, partly because I like to do it this way. I also think that I get more accomplished this way. I don't know how well you will do if you don't switch. Do make sure to assign jobs to each Sim. ------------------- Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

hmm, they are quite unproductive... they will just sit round the fire chating or playin with the monkey. and they just dont bath!
1) i am suppose to provide them with homes, motives? 2) i cant make any switch without them in the same location? 3) will they travel between the islands themselve? 4) beside swimming, whats the other alternative to clean myself? thank you for answering these questions.

re: The rest of the people are hopeless |
quote wickedchild #1 yes, to some degree this is sort of the point of the game. #2 To switch between Sims, both Sims need to be in the same area. #3 yes. #4 At first you only have swiming, later in the game you find hotsprings and then still later in the game you are finally able to build a shower. ------------------- Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

re: The rest of the people are hopeless |
quote wickedchildWell I never just leave the radio around as it makes it hard to sleep if the radio is on unless you are sleeping inside a building. If you have it turned off it is certain that some Sim will turn it on while another is trying to sleep. When you have managed to find the transmitter and have access to Crystal Island, take the radio and transmitter there and send an SOS. While I am on Crystal Island, besides sending an SOS every so often I leave the radio Playing and I harvest clay and fine sand. I have a lot of fun there on Crystal Island sending an SOS and the rest. ------------------- Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.
