Other fish in the large category:
smallmouth bass
toehead shark
monkfish

I don't know where most fish for the fish on the list other than ocean beaches and the Tidal lagoon.

The tidal lagoon is a good place to catch a shark for the goal and if I recall correctly it is a good place to catch other large fish.

One tip is that sandbar sharks avoid sandy beaches.

To catch a shark..you need a fishing pole which you craft on a crafting bench..they can be fished up at crystal island and right after you make the ceremonial dive..in the area you land in(if you haven't done this..you need to progress some more)

I never tried fishing at Crystal Island, did you find it easy to catch sharks there?

re: Shark Meat

I found shark catching easy. Using the cheats I made my way to the last island and unlocked Crystal Island, performed the dive and splash, I'm in there. Short earthquake afterwards. Then I started fishing, thinking "That shark will be mine!" and what do you know, a shark on the other end of my line!

I was playing again recently and I discovered that Crystal island is a really excellent place to fish for Marlin, Llama Fish, and Sandbar Shark.

My Sims have caught 10 Sandbar Sharks there so far in my game and I am not finished yet. I have yet to build the Bungelow and get Rescued.

I haven't been counting how many Marlins and Llama Fish that I have caught but it has been a lot.

I have a strategy of fishing until I am tired and hungry and then getting abducted, so that I can start the process over again.

I am working on having the shark shoes for each of my six Sims.

No cheats, just smart playing.

re: Shark Meat

I figured out more places where one can catch some of the large fish:

Tidal Pool:
Tiger Shark
Yellowfin Tuna
Llama fish

North Volcano Beach:
Toehead Shark
Marlin

South River Jungle
Small Mouth Bass

East Beach
Yellowfin Tuna
Toehead Shark

and I know where and when one can catch Moonfish

You can catch Moonfish at Night at Hidden Lagoon, I caught 9 of them one night there.

I discovered that there are White Tip Sharks, but I don't know yet where one can catch them, since it was one of the fish that was brought home by my fisherwoman as per her job.

If anyone does catch a White Tip Shark let me know where it was and the time of day it happened.
