Lucky you -_-
I was a bit late on the draw, and wasted all my gold trials trying to make japanese accounts, only to realize that M$ fixed it so only people in japan can DL it. oh well, its only like what, 5 days away? no need to rush something great. ------------------- The Pu Man says:

Gold trials from America/UK don't work, but if you make a brand new account they give you one free day of Gold right off the bat.
DEMO DETAILS - Dash is pretty good, it gives the same function as the roll, while also giving an extra advantage of instantly putting you into running status - Weapons included: level 3 Dragon Sword, level 3 Eclipse Scythe, level 3 Falcon Claws, and Level 3 lunar - Projectiles: Shuriken, Fiend's Bane Bow - Ninpo: Art of the Inferno, Art of the Hurricane - Flying Swallow is really great. Each weapon has it's own variant. Dragon Sword is the standard, but is useable up to three times while in the air. The Claws literally launch the enemy into the air, and the Scythe impales them down to the ground. Don't quite think the Lunar has one. - UTs are absolutely amazing. The DS's UT is jawdropping. - OTs, "Ah, the satisfying sound of one's impalement!" - Difficulty: Only Way of the Acolyte is available, and rest assured, even it's hard if you aren't trying. - Some slowdown, but only when a large number of enemies are onscreen, i.e, I ran from a battle and they followed me right into the next wave of enemies - Slight blood effect error, but nothing too bad - Enemy AI is absolutely amazing This message was edited by Tenken on May 30 2008.

well, good for you. Glad you enjoyed it.
In your opinion, would this overshadow NG Black? Does it have the same feel? Looking at the vids, I felt that the combat was a bit "impersonal." By playing this, do you feel that if you get careless, even one enemy can easily kill you. Are there "unfair" things like certain attacks by the attacks being uninterrupted, or multiple enemies "chain" attack you? Do some of the enemies just stand idly by? Which weapon takes the most time getting used to? Are there "noob" moves that you can spam to easily defeat multiple enemies (kinda like with the lunar in the first NG) How's the music, if any? Any notable sounds that wow you? How's the voice acting? Does the Japanese audio sound similar to the first? How's the english voice acting? Anything else that really stuck out for you? ------------------- The Pu Man says:

I honestly think it's better than Black.
Unfair attacks? Quite often you'll see the enemy throwing Shurikens at you while jumping back out of range. Other than that, no more than in th eoriginal. Some enemies sit idly by, like mages, but that's their job. Which weapon? The 4 included are all certainly changed, but I'd have to say the claws. They're super fast. Noob moves..probably the claw teleporting moves, and the Art of the Inferno at level 3. Izuna drop is more tame. The music was standard, but built up the action like it should. The English voice overs are mediocre and the Japanese audio is spectacular as always. Anything else that stuck out? One move with the claws where when Ryu is running you can press X and he does a Dragon kick. If you kick into the wall and press X again, Ryu does a flying swallow move off it and into the enemy, which can be further comboed.

quote TenkenActually, overseas gold trials DO work. I used an Australian trial on my JPN account successfully to download the demo.

Oh, one last thing.
Can you pause and switch weapons at the menu (if there is one) or does it always have to be via the d-pad. My one working controller has a broken d-pad, and I really don't want to buy another one. ------------------- The Pu Man says:

quote mikezombie777I'll restate. AMERICAN/UK don't work. Occasionally, the system will glitch and they'll bypass, but at this point it's a waste of time anyway. PuMan, it's either/or. You have the pause menu, and the d-pad menu.

Yeah, but it's not quite as instant. Occasionally, if the the essence is at a distance, it still takes a bit. Usually, you'll put them off quickly.

I'm pretty positive that the Falcon's Talons are going to be my favorite weapon, they're uber fast, and super powerful.
The flying swallow for the claws basically launches the enemy super high(higher than most standard izuna drops), and can then initiate an Izuna Drop FROM the flying swallow. Mega awesome, head-splattering fun. One combo, XX->XYYY, I think, basically let's Hayabusa hit them twice, launches them, and then he proceeds to use the flying swallow three times, and upon landing you can On-Landing UT if you want. MEGA AWESOME. All of the weapons have more throws, aside from the DS and Lunar. The DS has the standard Izuna Drop and Guillotine Throw, and the Lunar has the standard Izuna, along with an extra combo that sets it up. The claws have three different set ups for an Izuna Drop, along with a couple of other grabs that involve impalement and kicks to the head. The scythe..OMG, one of it's grabs basically sets up for an aerial combo. Ninja Gaiden has gone from pure land-based combat to a mix of land, air, and water-based combat, and it's great.
